Cost to remove ceramic tile?

Hi there,

We'd like to redo our kitchen floor (12 x 14). Right now there are ceramic tiles on it. They are in good shape, no cracks or chips. What would it cost (approx.) to remove them?

We are also replacing our kitchen cabinets, so I'm also wondering what comes first? Do we remove the cabinets first? Or the tiles?

Only looking for estimates/advice at this time.

Thanks

It's better to take ur cabinets first then take the floors. And I think it be around 350 to 400 to take those out.

Hey,

First of all you need to remove the cabinets then the tiles.

For removal of tiles and installation of new ones can be approximately 2000 to 3000$.

Depending on tile size/shape and floor.

Hi,

As others have mentioned, Cabinets will have to be removed first.

Cost of removing old tile would be $250 to $350. Installing a new floor will range from $1000 on the low end (including materials) to $2500 if you go with an expensive tile.

Best of luck.

Hi Heidi,

Yes, for sure you will need to remove the cabinets first. To remove the tiles will be $2.25/ft2 including disposal.
