Hi Dale! best thing to do is post your question in the Post Your Project page to let the local contractors close to you respond to it. It will give you a better idea on costs that way.

Brent is absolutely right, you will get more response/exposure from local contractors if you place your ad in the "post your Projects" section.

Just as an example and bearing in mind these are Calgary prices they tend to follow the following pattern:

Spec Home builder (Cookie cutter) Framing $5.00 - $6.00 Per Sq Ft.

Custom Home Framing $8.00 - $12.00 Per Sq Ft.

The custom home price various so widely due to the amount of variables that the particular custom home may have including:

Tall Wall Framing

Vaulted Ceilings

Walk Out Basements

Curved Walls/Floors

Hope these examples give you some idea of what you may face, I am sure up in Grand Prairie you will get a better deal for your money.
