I need to put a basement entrance in my home, it is in South Ajax. I need it in the backyard. The area in the backyard is 12 feet wide.
I would like concrete stairs, and a standard size door at the bottom, opening into the basement. Could you please provide me with an approximate quote as soon as possible.
Thanks.
I need a Basement entrance put in my new home, it is in North Ajax. I need it in the backyard. The backyard is 40 feet by about 20 feet.
I would like concrete stairs, and a standard size door at the bottom, opening into the basement. Could you please provide me with an approximate quote please as soon as possible.
Thankyou,
Noor
Currently my bsmt is partitioned so that there are 2 bdrms separated by a living area. Those areas have laminate flooring. That takes up most of the space, the rest is unfinished and consists of a laundry area, furnace, water heater and stairwell. One bdrm is occupied by my son.
1st project - Creativity is a must.
- Additional bsmt entrance (perhaps via a wall at the top of the bsmt stairs).
- Small kitchen with sink and exhaust (this may require the bsmt stairs to be repositioned).
- Shower stall, toilet and basin.
- Rebuild and reposition bsmt stairs to accommodate new kitchen.
- Create new window for one bedroom.
- Replace flooring.
- Replace Laundry Tub.
- Prefer Ceramic tiling
- Fireplace would be nice.
2nd Project
There is currently only one full bthrm in the house and the master has a 2pc.
- Remodel Master bthrm to include a shower stall.
- Remodel Main bthrm, including replacement of fan and attached pipe in attic.
I am open to the bsmt being completely redone but that would be dependent on the cost. I would also prefer a contractor who will assist me with the financing as an extended payment plan would be best.
I am looking for a contractor preferably in Durham region to make a below grade separate entrance to the finished basement. The options are either at the front of the house or from the backyard. Please provide estimate for the complete job including all permits/inspections as required by the City.
Hi all,
I've hired 3 contractors so far and they all left me hanging and stole most of the money I was supposed to give them after they were done. We have had extremely bad luck since June of this year where one contractor poured the walls but the city did not approve them so he took off. The next contractor came in and took the wall down and took off. The third contractor got as far as pouring the footings and framing most of the walls and took off. I need a contractor to come in and help me out as I cannot leave the project undone due to the freezing and exposure of the footings. I need the following to be done:
- Finish framing the walls
- Pour walls
- Frame steps and insulate steps
- Once city inspection goes through, pour steps
- Insulate landing and footings and also connect drain to inside storm sewer (already exposed and easy to get to)
- Install lintel above door
- Install railing
- fill hole in the inside of basement and tile a 2x2 meter area afterwards
Pictures are attached, please have a look and let me know if you can help us out.
Thanks!

The garage is roughly 10 X 15-20

Replace existing flooring with hardwood (approx. 880 square ft currently mixed hardwood, laminate, carpet). Install a new gas or electric fireplace in existing fireplace, remove lower base completely, drywall upper brick and reface or paint lower/remaining brick. I have multiple renovation jobs that could be grouped as one over several months or split to multiple suppliers.
- All sizes are rough estimates.
- You must take all old material away - this includes toilets, sinks, cabinets, dishwasher, old flooring and more.
- suggestions on specific materials welcome but I do not want overly expensive or extravagant - looking for basic quality product.
- depending on total costs I may not do all parts of this renovation at this time.
- no painting or fixing walls required - i.e. I have someone to do that after the rest is done and understand the risk of doing it after installing flooring etc.
- You will need to do some plumbing and likely electrical (basic)
- If I group these I will only agree to the first part - if that is done well with limited aggravation we can proceed to the next part and so on.
- Possible there is more work later in the year assuming the first part is a job well done.
- as always cost is important but so is quality and professionalism
- I can go to the local Home Depot and select / buy material but you will need to pick up and bring to the house (beter if you do any custom items).

I need a wall removed and a door installed in a 900 square foot office space located in a commercial building in Ajax, Ontario. The first two pictures attached are showing the wall that needs to be removed, to open up space between two smaller offices. The next two pictures are of the same wall from the other side. The last two pictures are where a door (or something to separate the space) needs to be installed. The office is available day, night and weekends and I would need the job done as soon as possible.
Thank you!
