Townhouse needs “newer” linear kitchen cabinets. The unit needs repair in a few areas and with both of us on a limited budget, and me living in Markham, I’m looking to acquire affordable used cabinets from a Renovator, Restore or the like and have someone install it.
We also want, in order of priority…
1. install a front door and frame,
2. hang a ceiling in a small part of the basement,
3. take out part of the stairwell wall going to the basement to allow for larger items to negotiate at the bottom of the stairs.
We're really hoping the kitchen be completed before school begins.
If something like this is of interest to you, let me know soon.
We are looking to have a major over haul of the living space of an 1100 foot condo done in the new year.
We are looking to have the cabinets and counters in galley kitchen in condo torn out and replaced and some tiling done.
We also need to have all flooring and base boards in hall way, kitchen, living and dining removed and replaced. Hall way and kitchen are currently ceramic tile. Living / dining are carpet.
We need to have the hallway/living/dining/kitchen painted.
There are also 3 interior doors that need to be replaced and 2 baseboard heaters to be installed as well as shelving to be built in to a closet and pantry.
I have rented a storage space near by to store all the necessary supplies and will order everything before the project starts.
I am looking to have this work done in the last 2 weeks of March because that is when I will be off work.
This is my 90 year old mothers home and I will need to move her out of the condo during that time so it's extremely important that the majority of the work can be completed in those two weeks.
Please contact me if interested. I would like to get a few quotes in the next month.
-Remove double sink and dishwasher
-Cap plumbing and cover it with drywall
-disconnect any stove wiring at electrical panel
-Cover the hole on the counter where sink was or alternatively cover 10' of the counter
-build shelves to extend top cabinets to the top of the counter
Explanation: Since we are not permitted to have a kitchen in the basement, we have to remove sink and dishwasher and make it look like a wall unit. The shelving will be approx 10' long (5 cabinets)
MY home is an 800sq ft bungalow built in 1962. It's located in Guelph. I would like to upgrade the kitchen cabinets and counter top. The kitchen is quit small. The counter is an L-shape measuring 72in x 44in (each measurement is from the rear corner to the edge of counter). The upper cabinets on one wall measure 76in and the other measures approx. 40in.
My main concern is the bathroom though. I haven't use the upstairs bath since I moved in. The bathtub drain leaks. I'm guessing it is because the previous owners did a do it your self bathroom in the basement right below the upstairs bathroom and may have caused damage to the drain above (i don't know) but it has caused some water damage to the plaster walls.
It has also caused a mold problem. It is your standard 3 piece bath with a window in the shower. I would like to definately replace the vanity and the toilet. Fix the tub drain and possibly replace the tub with new tub and shower surround. Also if budget permits replace floor tiling in bathroom and possibly small hallway and kitchen. I am preparing the house to be sold and my budget is $10,000.
Complete removal of existing kitchen cabinets and laminate flooring. New installation of preordered kitchen cabinets and tile (Home depot) throughout kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and front entrance (~450 square feet) and installation of vanity in bath. Also, two half walls (non-load bearing) will need to be removed in the kitchen.
I have kitchen cupboards that are in good repair but don't like the colour of (currently oak). The cabinets were replaced by a previous owner about 10 years ago. Still pondering the colour to replace but will either be an antique white or have the oak darkened to an antiqued oak colour.. Would also like to replace the counter tops with a laminate (currently white and shows all sorts of stains) and and updated backsplash.
The main counter space is an L shape 100 inches on the long side, 55 inches on the shorter side, 24 inches deep. There is also a small drawer section between the fridge and stove that is 12 inches wide and 24 inches deep. Off to the side of the kitchen is a double door pantry cupboard but no counter top.
For a student rental in guelph.
Am looking for a neutral, simple design. Hardy and durable cabinets as students can be a bit on the rough side. Assume laminate countertops my best option. Smallish kitchen (1300 sq ft house).
Flooring same requirements. Simple, clean, durable. Click vinyl? Floating vinyl current.
Would love to get job done by Sept.

I have the kitchen designed and cupboards/counters being sent to Guelph. It is an IKEA kitchen(s).
I need demo of existing kitchens, the cabinets, counters installed and sinks re hooked up. The sooner the better so cupboards aren't taking up space.
I have the designs made out on IKEA's kitchen planner ready to send to you if interested.

* we are looking into either having our existing cabinets painted or just doing an ikea kitchen for which we would need someone to install
I currently have a kitchen approximately 11' x 9' that is walled on two sides seperating the dining room and living room. As part of a kitchen rebuild, I would like to remove the walls to open up the entire space.
After that, a full kitchen remodeling. The two walls are connected and are 6' each.
We are currently in the process of renovating our kitchen and are now at a point where we need professional help to finish it off. The list of tasks remaining are:
1. Tile and grout kitchen floor (approximately 200sqft)
2. Finish back splash details around corners and receptacles
3. Remove old insulation and replaces with new batts insulation in area where old cabinets were located.
We are looking to get this completed ASAP and are open to having someone come take a look at the remaining work.
Our house is 27 years old, the kitchen is a little dated (under statement) I would like to get a quote to get the stove outlet switched to a regular outlet and a regular outlet switched to a stove outlet.
The first step to renovating my kitchen is swapping these appliances' locations which are at opposing sides of the kitchen.
if you could please send me a quote to have someone come in and makes these changes to email I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you

I had a mould problem in my kitchen and basement. I have a mould specialist removing and sanitizing it on Oct 22 to 24th. I am then looking for somebody to either redo the kitchen for me or help me do it. I would be looking for drywall, laminate flooring, and cabinet/countertop installation. I want to start as soon as possible after Oct 25th, in order to get my kitchen back up and running. Please contact me if interested.
Home built in 1920's, kitchen is small in comparison to modern kitchens, . Need to remove very old kitchen cupboards,
redrywall behind the old cupboards before installing new ones (preferably IKEA cupboards); needs new flooring as old flooring has been there since 1970's. Ceiling needs refinishing. currently one of the two windows in the kitchen is covered by the sink, but it is a long window that I would like to have uncovered. Therefore new cupboards may need to be conconfigured.
currently a small 4 chair table just fits in this kitchen, it would be nice to have the kitchen table replaced by a nook, or island where I can cook, and have stools. There is a fair sized dining room available for larger meals.
If this renovation goes well, and we have the funds, the entire main floor needs new flooring.
I need to have a wall sized 4.5 feet moved back 9 inches. there is electrical running through the wall that needs to be considered. I would want the ceiling patched where it is being moved from.
I also need a qualified electrician to run two lines to the box. One is for appliances and the other for a dishwasher.
I also need a gas fitter to move a gas line for us.
I'm a prospective home buyer looking to renovate the lower level of a back-split house into a legal accessory apartment between March-April. For the bathroom (5'7"x9'), I'm looking to change it from a 3 pc to a 4 pc bathroom by replacing the standing shower with a bathtub, as well as replacing the vinyl floor with ceramic or porcelain tiles. The kitchen will be in a 10'6"x10'6" space on the lower level of a back-split that is 10'6"x25'11" in total. The renovations will include removing outdated wallpaper and stucco from the walls, installing kitchen cabinets on a 10'6" length wall with laminate countertops, installing a stacked washer/dryer, and laying laminate floors.
Additionally, I also require a rough-in for a sink to be placed in the main level kitchen.
Specific skills required include plumbing for installing rough-ins, an electrician for adding on electrical outlets, and a general contractor for the floors and remainder of the kitchen. I've included the drawings and dimensions for the kitchen installation.
A contractor has already done much of the work in gutting and getting the kitchen to the point where cabinets can now be installed but without getting into details here he is too busy to continue/finish the job. Below is a list of what still needs to be done:
Completion of bathroom/hallway & kitchen floors. Install already purchased sink/vanity in bathroom. Install kitchen cabinets, splash tiles, crown molding, microwave/fan, light fixtures etc in kitchen.
