The former Black Creek Cheese factory at 2686 Narrows Locks Road is a structurally solid century old building that I would like to convert part of into a 3 season cabin retreat. The property features an artesian well and the building has a new steel roof as of 2017.
This project would involve the installation of 4-5 windows,2-3 doors, wall and ceiling styrofoam insulation and a insulated sub floor. A 200 amp electrical panel, as well as designated light and power outlets would need to be installed throughout the building.. This would include a outlet for an electric ceramic kiln. The electric kiln would require a small room enclosure.
Some exterior landscaping involving stabilizing and leveling a rear exterior pad area may be required.
I need an electrician to perform the wiring for my basement reno (approx 1900 sq ft). Current estimates are for 32 plugs, 23 switches, 24 light outlet, 45 pot lights with LED bulbs, GFI plugs in bathrooms and 2x 90cfm bath fans. Washer/Dryer outlets, 10 Lutron dimmers.
I can provide the electrical drawings for a more detailed quote.
Old wiring will need to be relocated to accommodate drywall ceiling.
Looking to have TWO bathroom fans installed and vented (into our attic out the soffit likely) in 2 bathrooms. One bathroom already has a really old fan (not vented properly) and the other bathroom does not have any fan right now.
Attic currently only has batts of insulation with some room to maneuver.
Fans have been purchased so just looking for someone to install them.
I'm looking for someone to install a new bathroom vent in my bathroom, including getting the ductwork through the attic. (No need to put in the vent on the roof - my roofer is going to do that). There is an existing fan, but I think it is too close to the eaves to make working from above manageable, and I assume it is soffit-vented since there is no ductiwork at the moment in the attic. Putting in a new fan also requires getting electrical to it somehow. Anyway - it's a bit beyond me.
Working in this attic is not pleasant - not much headroom, and lots of fibreglass insulation.
I have a similar problem in my other bathroom, but not as tricky. Depending on how easy someone figures the job is, I would like to replace an existing fan there too, but again - would require crawling around in the attic to get the venting right (not currently vented properly).
I live very close to Home Depot so getting mateirals etc is easy.
Warren.
I want to have a light fixture installed above my kitchen sink. It requires building up the area ready for installing wiring and the light fixture itself. A couple more electrical plugs in the kitchen would also be required. I own a condo in a building so the ceiling is cement.
I also need to have some kind of support installed atop of my bedroom window and to reinstall two blinds and two vertical certains. The joists are metal.
An estimate for this work would be appreciated. Thank you.
14ft ceiling, split level living room. Want ceiling fan installed, but unsure if electrical can be fished through easily. Not sure if there is room for strapping wires over joices or not. If holes have to be cut, wondering if same contractor can patch the ceiling (not a requirement). Looking for reasonable estimate, and quality work.
Thanks
Basement of 4 bedroom home is partially wired. The basement has been in a partially finished state for several years. Walls are framed and electrical outlet boxes have been installed on half of the room. The boxes have been installed on the other half of the room but they haven't been wired yet. Need to establish a plan for what will be on which circuit with room for addition of more plugs/fan & light in the roughed in bathroom. Also looking to have one electrical outlet installed on the ceiling. I also have some potlights that need to be installed and wired. Please be aware there are cats and a dog in the home.
I have a very specific aesthetic in mind for an upcoming project. I've started sketching and think creating lighting for the space is the only way to go. I can't find anything quite right. If possible, I'd like to have a broader conversation about commissioning custom light fixtures in the future - perhaps as a joint service - or how much lead time would be required for different intricacies of design.

Currently, have basement with no outlets wired. Switch at top of stairs controls lights in basement, Electrical plugs - one with electrical box (breakers) and one with laundry room. Want to finish half of basement with approx 3 plugs and maybe add a light switch at the bottom of the stairs to control lights. Guess at area - 450 sq ft. The house was built in 1984. Suspended ceiling and walls dry walled. Will probably be replacing the ceiling, replacing carpet but dry wall is okay. So you will need to save/minumal damage to the wall.
Hi there,
We have a project in Ottawa that is coming up, and wanted to know what the hourly rates are?
The project involves replacing and modifying power supplies in a digital signage array. The project does require you to work at heights of about 50ft.
We are anticipating this project will take about 2 weeks.
Would you be able to send us a quote, and if any of your contractors are certified to work at heights.
Thank you,
Josh

Fix 9 ungrounded outlets. I believe that there's already ground wires, but that might not be the case for all of them. GFI are an option if considered safe.
Fix 5 reverse wire outlets.
Upgrade 7 outlets to GCFI (the ones safe near water).
Install two 20A breakers instead of one 30A breaker in electric panel.
Move 1 light switch.
Seeing the house is not an option, as I'm still in the process of buying it.
The work needs to be done in the last week of June.
I'm looking for quotes and availability.
Bought a new house and would like to have an auxiliary panel installed and a doubled wire on a single breaker relocated to the auxiliary panel.
Attached photos show the wires and the current panel.
Please note I'm able to respond more quickly to emails as I don't have access to my phone from 9 to 6.
