I had paving stone in the back yard but a giant underpinning job has made it necessary to re do it. The paving area is approx 15'x20'. Also I need wide (15') steps coming off the back of the house down to the paving to allow access to the back door (the deck was removed for the underpinning).
I am the property owner and there are three(3) parts to this project:-
1) Pave front lawn
2) Pave walk path on one side of the house
3) Pave a walk out - backyard (circular or wave style)
Material for the entire project to be concrete, the same kind/colour as the steps at the front of the house shown in the photograph. Two sample photos have been uploaded re the design for the walkout in the backyard, these are just to show shape(not material).
This project is to be one cohesive job from the front to the side to the back. Exact dimensions are not yet available. Proceeding with the job will depend on the cost of the job which is why no budget is listed.
Hi I have a 20x24, 500 sq of concrete slab needs to get poured and finished on next Tuesday, it's for a garage floor and has a wide assist. The concrete tuck will pull right beside the form.
Looking for someone with concrete experience can pour and do a flat finish for me. I will supply two helpers. Please email a quote, thank you!
600 sq. ft level concrete floor needed. Existing floor consists of 1-2" deep x 12" wide strips of concrete on top of sand, separated by rotted 2 x 4s. I can remove existing concrete strips and rotted wood. House is in the Toronto Beaches.
Work needs to be completed before end of November 2012, and preferably should be done by 3rd week in November.
Thanks,
Derek
Ripped out tile that covered half the floor of the basement. Rest of floor is laminate flooring. Wanting to do a finished (polished?) concrete floor throughout that main room of the basement. Don't know if plumbing will require the installation of a back flow as there would be a drain to cover.
i have a concrete patio around the south side of my house. It is cracked and improperly graded. due to the cost of having it removed and re-poured, i am looking for an interim solution. it has been pointed out that i can have the cracks parged, some of the regrading parged and the whole thing coated in epoxy as a way to keep water from the foundation, for now, until i can afford to have it re-poured.
if you do this kind of work i'd like to hear from you.
The ramp to the parking garage has begun to deteriorate from the elements and urgently needs to be repaired and the bottom where the drainage is.
if it deteriorates any further I think the iron grate over the large water drainage hole will fall in making it both dangerous for tenants and anyone with a car to drive over and also impossible for smaller vehicles. I tried to contact you this morning regarding this nd left a VM but nobody has called me back.
The area is at ground level and is 21 ft by 16ft. The concrete needs to be broken down and removed and new concrete installed. We want a broom finish.
I need an estimate by tomorrow, Nov, 30th, at 9:00 if at all possible. Please direct all quotes to me via text.
I am the property owner.
Thank you so much.
Our front porch, short walkway and steps leading up to it are losing their surface. The slab at the top is crumbling. Our home was built around 1961. Approximate size of the top slab is 5x6', the lower one is slightly smaller, there are 5 steps and the walkway is about 5' long.
A year and a half ago our old external wall was repaired/reinforced with concrete. Unfortunately the contractor left a gap between the concrete and the wall at the base - the gap is about 1 cm between the concrete and the brick about 2 cm up from the base. It extends about a metre and a half or so. Mice and no doubt water can get in through this gap. The base of the house meets the neighbours paving stones and the neighbour has indicated they are happy to have this repaired.
Please indicate your experience with such repairs.
Thank you,
Anne K.
Our house is a 50's bungalow in South Etobicoke. We need the old concrete step in front of the house removed and replaced with a new larger version. The new "veranda" needs to be covered from the weather and large enough for some chairs. This job will also require some minor landscaping to change the approach to the step. We are looking to have people come by and give quotes on the job during the week of Monday July 12th to Friday July 16th. If you choose to communicate using the phone number attached please text instead of calling, I will respond.
Front steps concrete, quite badly cracked up - thinking just to replace them with pre-formed concrete steps, assuming that's a fast easy solution...
90 year old semi, typical for little Portugal area.
Want it to look decent and be strong, long-lasting.
Currently 4 old concrete steps up to front porch wooden decking, which is about 39" (1m) off the ground.
Currently steps are 46" wide at base (1st 2nd & 3rd step) while top step is narrower, 39", to match available width stepping onto porch. See photo.
Looking for someone who does this regularly, efficiently and well, someone reliable and swift, rather than a general all-round handyman... no disrespect to general all-rounders!
Job would be to take away old chipped steps and replace with new ones, and if necessary reattach or replace handrail... Ideally all on same day so inhabitants can use steps.
(Feel free to quote with & without rail, or give alternative advice if you have any bright ideas)
We would like to invite your Company to provide us with a quote for this project. Please note the following details:

I'm in a 100 year old home in the beaches and I'd like to lower my basement floor. At the lowest point, my floors to ceiling in the basement height is about 6.45 ft. the lowest is just under 5 ft. I don't want to bench or underpin but rather just shave the concrete down a few inches so that the rest of the space is at the same height of the highest point and level off the floor.
The basement is about 400sf.
2 years after waterproofing around the house done, need to:
- pave the walkway adjacent to the side of the house with existing slabs/pavers (length: 45 ft)
- lay existing interlock bricks back after the waterproofing (2 feet wide, 11 ft long + 12 ft long under a high deck)
Budget: to be discussed further.
Need two quotes:
- minimal option
- recommended option
I need the following done to the back of the house
1. Shingles need to be removed and siding along with insulation placed around the back of the house (small area - it is a row house)
2. I need some concrete work done around the base of the house out the back (there are a few cracks and holes that need to be levelled and redone.
3. We need a shack at the back of the house demo'd - used to be a mud room but very small and kind of falling apart.
4. We need a concrete pad poured so we can eventually put up a new mud room to mirror our neighbours house.
5. We need a TV antenna taken down (this is kind of random I know - but if you know someone who can do it, it would be a bonus but not essential.
Items 1-4 are far more important.
This is a small repair job on a mutual driveway (the entire driveway is not in great shape, so we are just looking for a simple repair of one particularly bad area about 3ft wide and 6ft long). Use concrete saw to cut out old section and replace with new. Have included photo of repair area for reference.
I have done all the preparation work for my stamped concrete area in my backyard; I'm looking for someone to do the stamped concrete for approximate 600 square feet. The concrete has been ordered and I'm just looking for someone to complete the work.
Please provide me with a price?
Thank you,
Danny
