I am planning on renovating the basement washroom with the help of family memeber. We have done renovations before ourself but don't know how to do plumbing. I would like to hire someone who is specialized in plumbing or highly experienced in doing basement plumbing. Shower drain will have to be moved, because the washroom will be expanded. Job will not be easy as I am very picky about good jobs. Also, do not expect to be paid for jobs that haven't even been started. I respect contrators work and they should respect their clients honnesty. If you are an honest contractor and you do your job to your best ability then you shouldn't be worried about not getting paid. If you plan on cutting corners and do a a crappy job don't waste your time on this post.
Thanks.
My current bathtub faucet doesn't work properly when switching the water output from faucet to shower head and the faucet handle is a single handle spinner which makes it difficult to control the amount of hot and cold water. I would like the faucet head replaced and the faucet handle changed to the two knobs version, one for cold and one for hot.
Water valve replacement for washing machine
Replace existing washing machine supply valves with two good quality ball valves clearly marked hot (red) or cold (blue) and soldered into place on 1/2 inch copper pipe. click here needs to be licensed and insured as per condo regulations.
Access to the valves is easy and clear.
I need to update the old plumbing in my house, it is a semidetached 3 bedroom home, there is a small kitchen and washroom in the second floor, same in the main floor plus kitchen and washroom on the basement. Some of the plumbing has been replaced, about 75% of the plumbing must be replaced. I would like someone to come for an estimate.
How much does it cost to find and replace sections of pipe when they have burst from freezing? I had 7 sections of pipe freeze in my basement when the door was left open accidentally and I'm wondering whether the cost to fix it was fair. The bursts were all located behind walls and under counters. What's a ballpark cost for something like that? It took a day and a half to fix.
Thanks!

Both pricing & quality are important. We will need proper documents to follow to provide to Insurance Company. Projected start date of June 1st.

Hi there,
I'm looking for a plumber who can help me repair my issue with the main drainage in the basement. It got stuck the other day causing it to overfloat and flooding my carpet. My emergency plumber managed to get a snake through and open it up just wide enough for the water to drain properly. However this is just a temporary fix. If he had to guess he thinks there are roots blocking the pipe.
I'm looking for a proper fix of this problem so that I wont have to worry about flooding again. Not sure what the best approach is.
Thank you very much for answering.
Mia.
Leaky tile shower that needs gutting. 36" Wide x 38" Deep x 80" Height. The Marble threshold is cracked at the floor level. 2003 Townhouse, the shower was likely never sealed properly. We are hoping to have it fixed by March 14th. We would like the shower to be done with new tile.
This is a smallish bathroom on the main level. It currently leaks into the adjacent built-in garage.
I need someone to do a series of small plumbing/tiling jobs in my residence:

2. Guest bathroom - clean and restore grout in tub/shower surround;
3. Kitchen - replace leaky under sink drain connection.
Enbridge is coming in to remove their old stand pipe that enters my house in the basement. The technician told me that before they can do the work, I need to remove the laundry tub and drywall/studs in the area of the stand pipe. The job entails the removal and replacement of the sink and drywall. The sink plumbing will need a shut off valve installed so the water can be shut off to the sink while it is removed.
Thanks

Notes from Fire Prevention Inspector:
As discussed, the following Sections of the Ontario Fire Code apply to fuel-fired appliance service rooms in your building:
OFC, Div. B, 9.5.2.10.(1) - Fuel-fired appliances shall be enclosed in a service room separated from the remainder of the building by a fire separation having a fire-resistance rating not less than 45 min if the building height is greater than 2 storeys or the building area is greater than 400 m2.
OFC, Div. B, 9.5.2.10.(2) - Sentence (1) does not apply to a fuel-fired appliance that serves only one dwelling unit or suite.
OFC, Div. B, 9.5.2.10.(3) - Despite Sentence (1), the fire-resistance rating of the fire separation above the service room is not required where:
(a) the required vertical fire separation to a service room is provided, and
(b) the service room area is sprinklered, with a spacing not exceeding 9.5 m2 per sprinkler head, or providing a minimum average density of 6.5 L/min/m2 over the room area.
not sure if gas shut-off valve is working properly. Would like someone certified to work with gas to come by for about 30 minutes to swap out a gas range (might need a fitting) and to help me carry the old range downstairs. Old range hood has been removed. Wiring exists. Need someone to also install the range hood.
I am looking for an experienced plumber to:
1) replace 3 existing toilets with new ones. standard 2 piece toilets, nothing too fancy.
2) replace a bathtub drain. This is a cosmetic change, the existing drain is a bit corroded.
Please include parts and labour in your quote, as well as your warranty.
Thank you.
Our ensuite bathroom toilet is taking approximately 45 mins to an hour to refill once flushed.
Recently, the internal mechanism developed a hissing sound where water appeared to be leaking from the internal mechanism. I am assuming the mechanism simply needs replacing.
We are located in downtown Toronto, happy to provide further details if required.
