I am looking to renovate my home. Particularily the main floor. I need the main floor completely painted, laminate flooring, new baseboards, and a back splash done in the kitchen. It's approx. 250-300 square feet of space. I would prefer to get all of this work done by the same contractor. I also have 2 small children living with me so I would prefer to do this work on weekends with no tools or dangerous debris left behind for them to get hurt on. Please have some sort of portfolio to show me your past work, referrals, and a detailed description of your experience.
I need my main floor done to prepare for my wife to have access to laundry room and a full bathroom on main floor so my old kitchen will be turned into a full bathroom with a laundry room and my kitchen will be moved into my front dining room. We would also like to have an open concept to the living room. So we are looking for someone to help with the best way to go and to help with materials needed and other questions that we have.
We are a Condominium Townhouse Complex, consisting of 4 Buildings and 18 units, we have need of several repairs.
- All the roofs have need of flashing and shingle inspections and repairs. We have also been informed by one owner that there is water leaking in and black mold in the attic.
- In addition we have some facia that has come down and a great deal of damaged siding that needs patched.
- We also have some decks that are leaking through the membrane and several decks need the vinyl membrane re-attached on the Dura Deck. The Dek-Tek may need to be replaced with Dura Deck on those decks with the Dek-Tek.
- the support studds in some of the garages are rotted at the bottom and need replacing.
- We also have a retaining wall that needs replacing with some landscaping work to reslope the yard to drain.
- One more problem is hard to explain, but needs a solution. We had ice dams infront of everyones front door last winter from water running down some capping above, hitting a joint and running down the siding.
and across the front walk (Very Hazardous).
This is a lot of work and we will need a separate quote for each job.
We own a 1300 sq ft attached mobile home - it is a single with an addition - addition done by previous owner. Would like to have some plumbing work completed (under the house as the pipes freeze in the winter), a bathroom reno, new siding and parging, and a small deck needs to be redone. Our single garage also needs some work - leveling and possibly a man door. We are also thinking about redoing the flooring in the kitchen and painting the interior. Looking for someone with experience doing work on Mobile Homes.
Roof Covering
There are two problems with this roof. There is a lower area where the shingles have clawing, possible ice damming in winter. Make sure the roofer can see if the eaves are blocked or if there is no insulation and repair as required. Secondly, there is a vent stack flashing that has curled up and is open to the elements, I believe this could be the spot where water is wetting the roof in the kitchen, have roofer patch/repair this asap.
Deck
There is an uneven butt connection between the porch and deck of about inch.
Kitchen
Floor squeaks in the kitchen, and suggest leveling first.
Crawl Space
Skirting to crawl space is missing under the deck and skirting is damaged at the south end. Replace
Downspouts
2 lower pieces missing, 3 elbows need connecting.
Ventilation
When the vent fan switch is activated, the furnace blower motor turns on. A sensor needs to be turned off/removed.
Thank you
My mom's home which was built in the 1950s is falling apart. It's approx 2100 square ft, 5 bedroom bungalow. There have been major issues from from flooding caused by possible foundation cracks, roofing, old plumbing, electrical not to mention a completely outdated home. The interior as well as the exterior need major help. There is a half built deck in the back where the contractors took off with the money and disappeared. The place has slowly turned into the neighborhood eyesore. My mom is in her 70's and my handicap brother lives with her so there has never been much upkeep on the home over the years.
AT this point I need some expert advice. I'm not too sure if the home should be demolished and rebuilt or to step by step repair all the issues.
We are not wealthy by any means. The home is paid for so we will be taking out a second mortgage to pay for the renos to happen.
My name is Ashley, and I work in a daycare. We have a loft in my room that we would like to be moved from it's current location in the room to the back of the room. I'm one of the room staff, and am doing some research to present to my boss. I understand that you won't be able to give a firm estimate without actually looking at the physical loft, but would it be possible to get a rough estimate based on the pictures I send?
The loft is made up of two sections - both are 96 inches wide and 45 inches deep. Right now, they are laid lengthwise, so our loft is 192 inches by 45. We want the loft to be 96 inches by 90. I've attached pictures so hopefully you can see what I'm talking about. Ideally, the loft would not have a metal support post in the middle of it, or the middle of the edges - so we want a post in the corners only. The new location we want for the loft is just down the shelving units, still above them. So the entire side against the wall would be above the shelves.
More dimensions:
- There are ten supporting metal posts. Five are 63 inches tall, and those are the ones in the front. There are five more that are 29 inches tall - they are at the back, supporting the loft on top of the cupboards/shelves. (All five of those short posts can be used if needed to hold up the 90 inch side.)
- The loft wall is about 30.5 inches tall, and there is another 46 inches from top of loft wall to the roof. From floor of loft to ceiling is about 76 inches.
- There are 12 1.5x3.3 inch wood slats under the loft - 6 per section.
I'm looking for a contractor to move my garage door from the rear to the side lane. Included in job
- demolition of side lane wall
- installation of beam on side lane wall
- installation of garage door on side lane (door currently installed on rear wall)
- construction of rear wall with a window and door
- insulation
- small concrete drive way
- siding exterior walls
I want the work completed in the next 30 to 60 days, if this job interests you please call me.
Tony
Previous owner's painted tub and it's peeling now, need a new tub or re glazing. Also need to replace the floor, vanity and toilet in the bathroom as well. Bathroom is 73 x 60, will supply vanity, flooring etc. Also we had a supply leak in our dishwasher that leaked into the basement which crumbled some ceiling tiles. We need to replace ceiling tiles, which we cannot get matching ones for or put in a ceiling depending on cost. Townhouse condo was built in the 70's and is owned by us. The area is approximately 1000 square feet in the basement.
looking for a dedicated company to renovate up to 15 existing homes. Projects vary from completing basements, renovating/building new bathrooms, rebuilding walls, flooring, finishing, repair/replace venting, plumbing and everything in between. Serious inquires only please. must have references available.
My house was built in 1983 and needs updating. The roof is about 25 years old and in fair condition but my insurance company thinks it needs replacing. I would also like a new fence, a rail stabilized, a new thermostat and a garage door replaced plus a rail put on the front two steps. Other renos I would like are caulking on the tub, a new bathroom sink and freeze protected hose bibs.
I am interested in a quote for getting all or most of my home carpets cleaned. They have never received a professional cleaning. In the last few weeks our pets have been making all sorts of messes on the carpets due to illness. So we have various animals (puke, pee) stains scattered around the house that need cleansing. The house is 30+ years old, but the carpets themselves are closer to 10 years old. I don't have the square footage of my carpets on hand but we will need approximately 3 small bedrooms and 2 living rooms (LARGE).
Of course getting top notch service and results is a priority, but also I'm seeking the best deal I can get. Can you provide me with options?
