We are in a condo in downtown new westminster built 6 years ago.
In the first room (living room), we have an existing light fixture that the fan will replace, we will just need the light removed and ceiling fan installed.
In the second room (bedroom), there is no box in the ceiling, so a box would need to be added with electrical running to it (there are wall outlets in the room), then the fan installed.
We have lost power in two areas of our house, can not seem to get lights etc. to turn on, may be an issue with a breaker.
Also looking to install some additional pot lights in the kitchen which will require some wiring, also need to replace two to three sensor outlets. Current sensors lights overlooking our backyard do not turn off.
Also want to install a new fan in one bedroom.
Chuck
I recently purchased a condo and require an electrician to do some work.
I would like to install lighting in the following rooms of the condo (existing lighting scenario is switches connected to wall plugs):
- kitchen: 6-8 recessed pot lights and 2-3 pendulum lights over an island/pennisula
- guest bedroom: 4 recessed pot lights
- master bedroom: 1 central fixture or 4 recessed pot lights
- loft: 4-6 recessed pot lights
All of the ceilings in each room are easily accessed via attic access (top floor condo).
In addition to the lighting improvements there are ~6 electrical outlets in the kitchen that need to be moved. Some original wiring in the kitchen was sloppily done and needs to be rerouted in order to install cabinetry all the way to the ceiling. All of the wires appear to have enough slack in them and the drywall has been removed in the kitchen to expose the studs and electrical work. I would also like to change all of the outlets from yellow to white.
The electrician needs to be licensed and must be able to provide proof of liability insurance as required by the bylaws of the strata complex.
We need to have timers installed on our P1 and P2 garage exhaust fans. We have one other fan in our garbage room that need to be replaced - no timer required on that one. This is the main work that is required.
As a side quote - there are 2 other fans that need to be replaced in our storage area, but this job may be done later depending on the cost.
We have a small condo kitchen with a corner sink and it's u-shaped with open counter onto the dining room. We're looking at possibly making it a walk-through, create more cupboard space, want to get rid of corner sink even if walk-through isn't possible.
Electrician: need an electrician to look at our stove as we cannot use the oven and a top burner at the same time.
As part of a kitchen renovation, we are installing a GE JVM1635 Above the Cooktop Microwave Oven. There is no existing venting or ductwork in the kitchen.
New cabinets are to be installed Jan 19 and 20 with the oven arriving January 21. The ducting will run inside the top cabinets above the fridge from the exterior wall on the left side of the JVM1635.
We're looking for someone to install the exterior wall hood vent (house has vinyl siding), the 6" diameter ducting running through the cabinets, and the appliance.
We are unable to buy bulbs for our old light fixtures so we need to install new ones.
6 Unit townhouse strata, I am an owner/strata president
Not sure of the exact square footage but the current lighting consists of 6 sets of 2 8ft bulbs.
The lot is big enough for 9 cars to park along one side.
The pipe by the washer overflows sometimes and I’m not sure why. Directly above is the kitchen sink, garburator and dishwasher. The pipe is open and right beside the dryer plugin which is obviously not safe. I would like the piping fully enclosed to avoid overflow , not sure why the pipe is not all one piece from the top floor especially with it being right beside the dryer plugin. Would like the piping fully enclosed and the plugins moved away from the water sources. Everything up to code in that area. Would like an estimate from you
Do I just need a plumber? Or an electrician to? Do I need permits?
In our Kitchen we currently have a approx. 4x4 recessed (approx 12" in depth) opening with Florescent lighting.
We would like to replace this with the installation of Flat LED lights / on a slightly recessed ceiling with a crown molding edge. See photo to better illustrate this.
We also need contractor to be bonded, WCB covered for electrical work as this is in our condo unit. We are the property owner.
This is a 1950's house where the Electrical Panel and a number of circuits in the house have been upgraded, however there are three rooms that need have the electrical upgraded. Currently the Living Room, Dining Room and one Bedroom (They are all upstairs) are all on one 15 amp circuit. I need new wiring run from the panel in the basement to these three rooms so each of them is on their own circuit.
