An absolutely no-no contractor. Do not use this company.

Giuseppe (Joe) Quartarone and Clearwater Construction failed us totally with their work.

Giuseppe introduced himself as an expert in the work at hand and expressed that "he only did this" referring to the type of work. Later I learned that what he did was to step in and delay all the work.

Once a detailed discussion of the job and a form of agreement was in place, Giuseppe started at the job site bringing expensive equipment (excavator and bobcat) but worked for one or a maximum of 2 days a week (just a few hours). Showing an abusive waste of customer's resources.

Mr. Quarantone did this introducing ever type of excuses from lack of workers, lack of time, taking courses, asking for surveyour's info (three weeks into the job) and skipping three or four days at least every time. Showing up unexpectedly and unwilling to coordinate agenda in any way.

This became a consistent behavior for over four weeks (his proposed work schedule was for 3 weeks). On documents.

Mr. Giuseppe received advanced payments to get started with the work and after all these delays and with the winter approaching fast, it became evident that Mr. Giuseppe was not taking the job seriously and lacked all respect for us and for the customer's need to see progress.

When Mr. Quarantone offered to be onsite on and he was asked for timing and how it was already two hours late, he called back and started ranting, shouting and bad-wording saying that he did not need to be supervised. That he did know ho to do his work. Which was evident was not the case.

With this, I saw myself in need to ask Mr. Quarantone to stop all work, refund excess money paid and remove himself and his equipment and tools from the job site. Precise calculations were given to him for discussion but still, Mr. Quarantone has not responded to date to review these calculations and refuses to refund the deposits which turned unused by Mr. Quarantone.

Even coming and removing his equipment took 4 days for him to do. Work could not be done onsite by another crew that was already waiting and another week of progress was lost. We are still waiting for a refund from Mr. Quarantone.

I do not recommend this company at all and I wonder how TrustedPros is backing up companies like this.

Joe and his team did an awesome job. Our garage looks amazing and it is exactly what we wanted. The team was top notch. Most importantly, Joe was always available and was very reliable. It was a great experience to work with Joe. We're happy with Clearwater and would work with them again.

Joe, was a pleasure to deal with right from the beginning. He stayed on budget and the quality of the work which was a large project from excavation to the actual build was impeccable. Having to deal with a terrible winter this year they still came daily to do what they can do in order to have the project continue. I would highly recommend Joe and his team to anyone looking for a reliable and trust worthy contractor. Thank you Joe, Payton, Vince and the rest of the guys.

They are very good. Highly recommended. My neighbors all agree that they did a good job in repairing our garage. I will review again in the future when we know if their work lasts a long time.
