We contracted John of Pisces Carpentry to do a few miscellaneous jobs in our home.
^ Installed some additional matching handrails on second story and basement stairs.
^ Installed several safety grab bars in our bathrooms.
^ Installed and painted baseboards in our furnace room.
^ Demo’d basement storage shelves and built and installed new sturdy shelving.
John was helpful pleasant and accommodating and he did a good job.
John is nothing short of excellent. It is clear he takes great pride in his work. His quote for the job did not drift upon completion. He was exceptionally flexible with time to help us out. We had an absolutely fantastic experience and cannot thank him enough.
John did quality work. He's a prompt communicator, arrives on time, is tidy and a real perfectionist. I also appreciated his opinion and expertise in selecting suitable product. As well, he generously helped us out with a couple of additional fixes not originally quoted. We consider ourselves lucky to have found him for our tricky job.
We hired John to complete our deck reconstruction and expansion in May/June, 2022. John completed the project within the timeline that he specified and without surprises to the budget. It is obvious that John takes pride in his work, and that is reflected in the final product. Our old deck was on pier blocks, but we wanted the reconstructed deck to be on pilings. John coordinated the piling installation and was on site when they were installed to ensure that they were completed properly.
All in all, we were very satisfied with the quality of the finished product that we know we'll be enjoying for years to come.
John was fantastic to work with. He was honest and easy to talk with. Luckily, I was able to catch him in between jobs to do this relatively small job. He always kept me up-to-date and scheduled the job quickly. He was completed in a day and it looks brand new again. Very happy with the quality and attention to deal. I highly recommend John for your projects. Now I just need to save up some money to have him build me a composite deck.
John was a great guy to deal with, very friendly, easy to talk to and he listens to what the client wants. We needed 5 stair railings and a land railing and John had them done in 3 days. We bought the material and he did the install which worked great in our favor due to getting a military discount for supplies.
John is very picky to detail which is a great asset.
We highly recommend John and will use his services again if required.
We love our railings!!!
My third time working with John at Pisces and I would still hire him again! He was able to translate the idea in my head for a backyard deck into reality, and built exactly what I was thinking!
I'll definitely be calling John back in the spring to enhance my backyard space.
And I've since had 2 neighbours copy his design!!
