Syd Flooring refinished floors that has been done about one year ago by another local company (who actually threatened to sue me if I did not remove my review of them Trusted pro is aware). Syd Flooring corrected the rough, uneven sanding job that had been previously done and the application of semi-gloss product was even and very well done. Additionally, as they use 98% dust free machines and have a state of the art equipment. They are meticulous and take pride in the work they do. One can expect a great finished product, which it was, and without having to call an extreme cleaning company to wash walls, windows and so on. We now have beautiful floors, have received many compliments from friends and family and had no qualms about referring Syd Flooring to those that asked (three so far)

I would not hesitate to recommend them. They are honest, hardworking and take pride in their work which is difficult to find today, and at a very fair price! We just wished we had found them last year.

After a couple of disappointing encounters with flooring contractors, we contacted Syd in regards to refinishing our existing hardwood and installation of additional hardwood in our kitchen.

At his first visit, Syd spent approx. 90 minutes educating us and describing the refinishing process. We learned a lot, and were very impressed with the time spent ensuring we were comfortable.

The hardwood flooring in the living/dining room in my condo was badly scratched by the previous owners who owned a dog. I did a google search and found Syd’s Flooring. The attraction to this company was that they advertised 98% dustless sanding. I must admit that I was very skeptical about this. I requested an estimate to have the floor refinished and was immediately impressed by Syd and his professional approach to explaining how he would refinish the floor…and yes it would be 98% dustless.

After the 3 day process of sanding, staining and applying the finishing coat I was truly amazed with the finished product. Syd’s Flooring did an incredible job refinishing the floor and matching the stair railing.

The 98% dustless sanding really was 98% dust free and I was surprised at how little dust was produced. When they were done, the remaining dust was that of not having dusted the furniture for a couple of weeks. Clean up was easy, and I was not left with any stain on the quarter round and baseboards.

They were knowledgeable, clean, careful, polite and punctual.

Our floor was professionally installed over 22 years ago and after 3 kids and 5 dogs tracking over the floor for that period of time I wasn’t sure that the floor would ever look good again. I got quotes and invited several service providers to come and see the floor before they took on the job. I got four quotes, Sydney was the only one to actually take the time to come and see the floor and discuss the refinishing requirements. The floor had several areas with deep scratches, water damage, and finish completely worn off. His price was very competitive and certainly superior in terms of the work that was going to be provided and the products being used. The end result was absolutely perfect!
