In Hamilton, Ontario pricing can vary from $3.00-$10.00 per sqft. Depending on what all Is to be done and the complexity of the job also.

Hi Chris,

Your probably looking at between $ 1,800 and $ 2,400 just to set the steel and concrete and finishing.

Your "Packed" Min. 4" of gravel and formwork would be extra on top of that. Probably another $ 800 to $ 1,200.

Do it right the first time. do your homework. Get a few estimates.

Would think closer to $3200 all including base, forming, placing, finishing and clean up.

If contractor is to supply and install, including excavation, gravel, form it, tie rebar, pour concrete and finish it. My guess you'd be looking at $1200-1500 retail. (120 sq ft.) Smaller jobs are just as much work as some bigger ones, same process, so contractors usually charge a little more for the small jobs.

As an example of the costs, a job that I did (Hasaca Construction 613-897-4890) was a 10'x24' outdoor dumpster slab. The slab was 6 inches thick with wire mesh (not rebar) tied and tented. The ground was excavated and base was properly prepped. Including the forms, the job was $4000. The delivered cement, mesh and forms cost about $1200-$1300. This was a full 2 days of grunt work to get everything completed.
