Til what temp can we pour concrete as my contractor has been taking his time to fix an issue and it is coming to winter in Edmonton.

Hi,

You can pour concrete after it begins to freeze. But I won't. The drying agent that has to be added to the concrete takes some of the life and structural integrity out of the concrete.

I do work in both Alberta and BC and both industry standards dictate that nothing is to be poured below 5 degrees celcius.

Typically, concrete can be poured any time of year and at any temperature. Mind you if the temperature exceeds 0 it will become costly by adding heat additional chemicals, warming tarps, heating tents etc. If you want to pay more and get it completed then eat the cost or wait to the prime spring/summer weather.
