You could defiantly do a lot with a 100k if you had a lot to build on you could build a nice 1000 sq ft bungalow with full basement .all materials and labor.

Without the lot you could buy a decent lot and put the foundation in and the shell of the home, then that would give you equity. You then could go to bank and borrow against what you currently have. It's really hard to tell you answers without knowing the area you are looking in.

I have a better proposal. Right now its costly in Canada.

If you go south you can buy cash flow property in that amount with renter and management company in place. You know before hand what you will make as a residual income and also the prices are going up in USA.

Myrtle beach is one nice place for Canadians to invest.
