Hi - I have old carpeting on my stairs and all of the upstairs. I don't know too much about the process, but I want to either carpet or recap/wood or vinyl the stairs, and later carpet or some kind of wood or vinyl floors upstairs 3 bedrooms to match. Would need carpet removed and disposed of. That is vague but I just don't know the costs or time involved. So ideally it would be best if you can do all kinds of flooring. I can purchase (or not) the materials, I am an estimator/ buyer by trade so that I can do. I have quite a bit of time off work between now and end of April so I am flexible. Insured/has WSIB is important. Stairs have a bannister - might need a new one(see photos) Prefer emails the next couple of days as I am out driving or working much of the time. I have no sense of design or aesthetics so would need guidance with planning.
We would like to receive an online estimate for buying and installing hardwood flooring for our living room and dining room.
Dimensions in Square Feet:
Lroom 169.3586
Droom 123.6786
Total Square Feet 293.0372
We are looking for a mid level hardwood floor (ie not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either as we have a kitten with claws who runs around in those rooms and will ultimately end up scratching the floor. )
Currently there is carpet installed in these rooms that needs to be ripped up (we can do that part if necessary).
Thank you
Looking to remove/dispose of existing flooring and install approximately 1350 sq feet of engineered hardwood flooring.
Already have a manufacturer/style of flooring in mind.
Main floor is 460 sq feet of carpet plus 150 sq feet of vinyl in kitchen and 100 sq feet of tile in foyer/hallway.
Second floor is 640 sq feet of carpet.
Also looking to remove carpet from stairs and installing hardwood to match new floors.
There are 13 stairs - closed on one side and open with wooden pickets on one side. First 8 steps (approx 40.5" x 11") are standard and 5 stairs at the top have curves so that the stairs gradually turn to the left. It is your standard staircase installed in homes approximately 15 years old. I have maple hardwood on the upper level and would like to have the stairs done in maple as well - natural maple with clear finish. I would also like to replace the wooden pickets with wrought iron.
I need a written quote for my recently purchase home in Pickering. I don't move in until mid July but I have one more visit which can be utilized for measurements etc for a quote for the following.

- Cabinets either re-stained or replaced (depending on cost)
- Counter replaced to granite
- Extension of counter or custom built pantry
- Back splash replaced
Hardwood flooring:
- Main floor has a mix of tiles and laminate, I need them replaced to Hardwood and possibly stairs as well.
Please let me know of availability on July 2 after 6pm to visit the property.
Thank you

Homeowner requires main floor (approx 1100 sq feet) renovation. Remove existing hardwood, ceramic tile and carpet. Replace all areas with engineered or natural hardwood with the exception of the 3 entry ways that will be tiled Replacement of all floorboards and joinery necessary to complete the job.
I need someone who is able to remove carpet of off 2 flights of stairs and install oak treads just for the steps, not for the kick board. The stair case is spindled. There are 25 steps and 3 pie pieces and a 30 inch by 30 inch base.
I would need materials and installation.
Depending on the quote I may choose to change the wood spindles to metal ones.
Thank you.
I had a laminate floor put down in my basement a year ago and it's a disaster! It's buckling, warping and gapping. I found out after it was installed that it's a terrible product for basement floors but the flooring installer never mentioned that. I need to replace it and I want it to stay down properly this time. I'd love some suggestions and prices. It is a large area (approx. 1,000 sq. ft).
Thanks.
I am moving into a new build house. The builder is providing the brand new red oak staircase in an unfinished state. How much will it cost to finish the stairs?
Our hardwood floors to be matched are Vintage floors "White Oak Nautilus" (picture attached).
Picture of staircase attached.
