Hi,
I need a shower installed in a bathroom and grab bars put into the bathroom. In addition a stair master for a set of outside stairs, and possibly the doors widened.
I hope to get quotes as soon as possible - it is for my mother who is being "kicked out" of respite care.
Safety is a MAJOR issue.
Some knowledge in what items might be required would be helpful
I hope to get quotes where the labor is separate from the materials (which I realize cannot be very accurate but just a rough idea).
Also I hope that people who reply will let me know if they do NOT want the work rather than ME BEING A BOTHER.
Thank you so much!
I have a fully gutted shower (mold problem) that's dimensions were formally a full sized bath tub. I would like it to be refinished (if possible reusing the glass wall and door that were removed without damage. The shower area is gutted down to the pipes, studs and concrete floor (basement unit).
I believe I have all of the materials needed to build the shower except the rubber sealer to go over the dry wall.
We need someone to "put the shower together" so that it is functional for daily use.
Materials we already have:
Barker board for the walls
Tiles for the floor and mortar etc
Glass bricks for the accent and to keep the shower curtain in
All hardware for shower faucet
Hello,
I am looking to convert my shower back to a tub. I currently have a 60x32 acrylic shower pan and I would like to install a 60x32 tub. This project will involve removing the current shower and shower walls, installing the new tub and drywall, re-configuring the plumbing to suit the tub, re-installation of shower fixtures and tiling the shower walls. I am looking to have this done by mid-February at the latest.
Hi, we’re renovating our ensuite washroom. Here’s what’s needed:
- demo of current floor, baseboards, and vanity. Disposal of garbage
- we are keeping the tub and 3 walls and tiles around it
- install 2” marble hexagon tile on floor
- install IKEA wall mounted vanity (there are metal studs behind wall)
- paint
- install baseboards and paint
- install new new faucet with vanity
- install ABS plumbing that came with IKEA vanity
- install accessories and mirror
- install new light (same sconce type as current)
I have a basement apartment with a small 3 piece bathroom (approx. 5' x 6') that needs to be re-done. I can do most of the demolition (except floor tile removal). I need the floor and all walls re-tiled with 12"x24" tiles (floor and walls approx. 200sq ft) which I can help tile. I need minor electrical work (possibly add a pot light), install new sink and toilet, and install a new rounded shower base and enclosure (comes with acrylic base and sliding glass doors). I will provide all materials.

Hello!
I bought a loft-style condo unit near Queen & Dufferin. I'd like to give the small bathroom a face lift. It is 42 square feet; one standard door for entry but no window.
Instead of a tub there is an alcove shower, which I'd like retiled w white subway tile (width is 5 feet, height is standard). I'd also like to install new floor tile (30 sq ft), a new vanity w sink, a new shower door (framed w pivot door and stationary panel), new faucet for shower and sink, and add a medicine cabinet (in the wall if possible).
I'd like to switch out the current florescent ceiling light for either 2 wall sconces flanking the vanity or 2 hanging pendant lights (whichever is more economical). The building manager recommended an electrical company they usually deal with but it is not mandatory to use them.
Shower head, toilet, sink all on same wall. No plumbing needs to be moved. Toilet will be staying. Using my inspiration photo, I have sourced most of the materials/fixtures.
I am game for doing the demo myself since I'm on a budget. Including materials I am hoping to stay under $5,000. Planning on buying an Ikea vanity/sink for $300.
Window for reno is roughly Oct. 15-Nov. 12.
I'm looking for someone who has experience tiling floor (probably 12x24 porcelain tiles), shower floor (mosaic), shower walls (ceramic subway tile). And installing vanity/sink. I'd like to hire someone trustworthy and someone who takes pride in their bathroom reno work.

The bathroom has only shower (no tub) and it is 20 years old, we are open to suggestions. Everything needs to be replaced.
The family room is 20 sq. meters, we would like hardwood floor that matches the adjacent bedroom.
If this works well, we plan full kitchen renovation next year.
The house is about 60 years old and I swear the bathroom has the original pink tile it came with (which grows on you after a while actually). The bathroom is fairly small and although it's the only bathroom in the house it's not one we're going to renovate into the bathroom of our dreams, we'll save that for a house in the future. We really just want to make this bathroom more functional for the short term and not so hideous that it won't sell when we go to move in a year or two. Hence the short 'to do' list above and little demolition required (we won't be removing the hideous pink tile...just the current sink, toilet, tub liner and vinyl flooring). Have just started to pick out fixtures etc. but would be able to finalize details fairly quickly. Would like to have all work completed by April 1 at the latest. Sorry, no pictures available.
We have a couple of small projects that we need done, and would like to get an estimate on the cost and time that it would take.
This is a Small One Bed Condo on Leaside / Ovealea
Project 1: LAUNDRY ROOM
Replacing our existing Electrical 60 gal Water Heater, with an Electrical Tankless Tank, which we have sourced out.
This will include:
Re-positioning of our Wash and Dryer to where the Electrical 60 gal Water Heater originally was.
Re-positioning of existing inlets, outlets, (new extended hoses) + electrical sockets.
Project 2: BATH ROOM (approx 40sq feet)
Removing our existing tub for a walk in shower.
Replacing wall and floor tiling.
Replacing Vanity
Project 3: Some 4-6 PotLights and one electrical socket outlet maybe!?
Hi there,
I have a basement suite bathroom wall that is spongy and I believe there may be mold. I would like to fix this and upgrade the bathroom.
Also, I want to make this a legal basement suite and would like to ensure that everything is up to code. How do I go about doing this?
We have a new construction town home in downtown Toronto. We had a steam shower included as an upgrade through the builder (Treasurehill / greenpark). We have had multiple issues with the shower including steam/ water leaking behind tiles, cracks in Corian bench, use of wrong drywall, no Kerdi system or equivalent membrane. We are looking for the job done right from the baseboard up if necessary. We want a contractor experienced with steam.
