Hello,
Bought a new townhouse and looking to have some work done prior to moving in. This would include: removing carpet and tile flooring, building a 2nd closet in the 3rd floor bedroom, removing popcorn ceiling, renovating master bathroom, installing mirrored sliding closet doors in 2 bedrooms, new kitchen counter/backsplash, painting. I take possession on October 14th and was hoping to get this all started on October 15th if possible. I am also allowed 2 more revisits if someone can come out and we can walk through and discuss/show everything for a quote before that.
Thanks,
Steve
Frame and hang wall in a closet.
The original wall separated two closets from each other and I demolished it to move space from one closet to the other by rebuilding it 16" away.
There is both lath and plaster (one closet, on one side of the wall) and drywall (the other side of the wall/closet).
Wall will be roughly 3x8.
Hi,
We're a non-profit organization and are looking at expanding our location. We're currently using 2 units and have now rented one more adjacent unit. So we need to demolish the partition wall between units and some other work need to be done as well.
We're looking for a contruction company which will also complete the necessary permits of the work.
Hello,
Seeking a contractor toward the end of September 2023 or early October 2023 who can do a room renovation for the purposes of a nursery. We are hoping to have the room ready by early November 2023. The room is of a general size (8' x 12'), but will require some pre- (incl. wallpaper and carpet removal) and post-work (incl. painting; hardwood flooring; lighting; and, floor boards).
Can you let me know about your processes and if this is possible given the time factor? Also, is there any precautions that can be made to accommodate reducing any dust or particles as my partner has severe respiratory issues?
Estimated Budget: $5,000 to $7,000

Need to spruce up our loft office space including:
- moving boardroom walls (drywall and possible a glass wall), new carpeting, new window shades and new paint.
- office is currently fully functioning and would ideally like to limit the amount of disruptions (ie work at night/weekends would be preferred)
- open concept office has large windows skylight, 15' woodbeam ceilings and exposed brick wall - so lots of potential to make it look great!
- need to have everything done by first week of June.
We are an advertising firm in the Bloor and Yonge st area that is in need of a 're-skin' of our current layout.
The structure of the area being renovated will structurally stay the same... we cannot knock down any walls, but need to have our elevator bay, lobby, front desk and two main boardrooms essentially given a new look.
This will involve:
- walls painted consistent colours
- some old veneered wood wall panels removed and walls repaired
- old veneered cabinets replaced or reveneered
- carpets pulled up and concrete floors epoxy coated or polished
- source and install frosted glass sliding doors installed to replace existing wood doors in two boardrooms
- front desk reworked or replaced with a more contemporary style (veneered wood and glass)
- source and install mounted glass panels on boardroom walls, to be used to put up creative work for presentations
- large (60") LCD tv to be installed vertically in lobby to run computer presentations
- source and install more contemporary lighting in the elevator bays (replacing existing lighting)
- some furniture sourced and purchased for the boardrooms including a contemporary boardroom table and chairs
Total area for the elevator bay, lobby and two boardrooms is aprox. 4,000. square ft. and are all attached within one area.
Work would need to be done evenings (after 6) and on weekends.

FOR 1000 SF OFFICE SPACE @ Toronto downtown W area
Hi there,
We are looking for a contractor to work with us on a reno project in our suite at 130 Spadina Ave. We've been given the go ahead by the landlord to source our own contractor.
The project would be demolition of 3 office spaces reusing some of the materials to build the 3 offices elsewhere. This would include electrical and we would also like to move + add additional electrical plugs. Floorplan can be provided.
Can you let me know if you'd like to come in to assess the space or if you can provide a rough estimate based on the floor plan?
Thanks,
Justine

NEED to be installed in a 4 x 4 Foyer, and 2 upper levels
Foyer floor to be strengthened - replace vinyl tiles ( approximately 10).
My partner and I just purchased a semi in Toronto (Oakwood-Vaughan neighbourhood). We will be closing on August 24, 2009, and will be moving in late September 2009. We would like to do renovations right after we take possession and before we move in.
Our brick home in the corner lot is probably about 70-80 years old. The first floor of living, dining, and kitchen has a combined area of about 450 square feet, and we want to create an open concept main floor.
We would like to complete the following renovations between late August and mid September:
(1) Open Concept Main Floor: demo entryway wall (half of current size) and entire walls dividing the living, dining, and kitchen; patch up ceilings (stucco) and walls affected by wall removal; move wiring, thermostat, and vent due to wall removal. Our home inspection indicates that the walls are not weight bearing.
(2) Main Floor Flooring: remove laminate in living room and tiles in entryway, dining, and kitchen. We saw, when we removed the floor vent, that underneath the laminate and tile is concrete and then the planks. After the floor removal, possibly install hardwood floor purchased from Home Depot.
Two additional jobs:
(3) 2nd Floor Master Bedroom: demo existing closets; build/frame full-wall closet with 5 doors from IKEA and wiring storage from Home Depot
(4) Basement Apartment: remove wainscoting, replace drywall
If we like the quality of your job, we will also hire you for our next projects within the next 1-2 years, which will include:
(5) Bathroom Renovation (1st floor - build powder room; 2nd floor - extend room and create new 2-sink vanity area)
(6) Kitchen Renovation (new kitchen cabinets, countertop)
(7) One-Car Garage
(8) Backyard Deck
(9) Fence
Unfortunately we can no longer go inside the property (since it is occupied) until we close on August 24th, and we would like to get the work done as soon as we take possession.
Having said that, we would like to get your online estimates/quotes as soon as possible, so that we can make an informed decision in regards to the company that we'll work with for our renovation projects. We will need online quotes that will provide cost for the total job (including reno debris removal) as well as specific line items for each job for our budget consideration.
If you could include what considerations we need to think about when we receive your quotes, that would be much appreciated. We look forward to hearing from you.
