Thr rental property is relatively aged. The size of shop for renovation is approximately 1100 sqft. I am requesting laminate floor, counter, basic kitchen renovation (sink, shelves, cabinets, etc.). There is no request for ceiling, wall painting or other furniture. The style I am looking for is simple and neat with solid colour.
Buildout estimates required for new chiropractic office opening up
Rough drawings are already worked up with existing washroom plumbing being used but washroom fixtures and floorplan being updated (approx 8x5). Expected floorplan will have a 9x13 x-ray room in the back corner where the overhead door is located, and 4, 9x12 rooms along the (West) wall with the windows. The east wall will have a 10x8 staff room (basic kitchen build) south of the washrooms followed by a 10x12 exam room and finally a small (as fits) 7x5 storage room against the back wall. North of the washrooms will be 3, 10x10 treatment rooms. Front area will need a vestibule at the main doors and front desk buildout on the west side.
CAT-5 networking and phone jacks will be required in all rooms (some need multiple).
Suspended ceilings (maximum available height) will be required throughout with appropriate HVAC and lighting provided for. X-ray room may require a shielded and/or drywall ceiling - requirements to be determined by me.
We're doing a project in school so we're trying to find a rough estimate for renovating a 1400 sq ft rented space. We'd like to convert the space into a video game cafe. We're planning to add a bathroom and a separate space in a corner for a rock band playing station. The plan also includes a reception area and beside it a space for preparing food.
I have a wall between 2 rooms 8'6" x 10' and 11'3" x 9' that need to be tiled approx 200 sq ft minimal grout attaching to drywall. I may also need a portion of a wall painted in a special paint
This project is to be completed by Nov 22, 2013, tile is in stock in Toronto and will be shipped out
Note: I would require a few current referrals
**LOOKING FOR ESTIMATES**
I am currently opening up a dog food store and am looking at having custom shelving and a display case made for my store. The shelving will be made out of black laminate (birch). I have drawings with exact measurments and materials required. If you are interested in quoting place let me know. I will require quotes by January 29th, 2010.
I am looking to have 2 structures built to function as outdoor projection doghouses. They will house 6 very large projectors, projecting on the TELUS buildings in both Edmonton and Calgary. They will need to be completely weather proof, and have a thermostatically controlled heating and cooling system (to keep the ambient room temperature in the projector's operating range of (50F - 100F), and a work light.
We'll need to work with you before construction starts on the design requirements, the structures need to conform to building codes, and will need full permits as applicable.
They need to be visually clean from the outside, shingled and sided, have a locking man door and some specific structures inside including 2 angled shelves capable of supporting 700 lbs, in the form of 3 x 235 lbs projectors in 2 rows of 3. Power to the projectors will be supplied to our Motion Labs 200A distro which also has 20A UGrounds to run the HVAC and lighting.
The sheds need to have weatherproof slots on one side to allow each of the 6 lenses of the projectors to protrude. They will need to be built to code, and sturdy enough to be lifted by a sling crane. The designs will differ slightly between locations.
The Calgary version, which I will have trucked from Edmonton, can be of a standard height with the bottom row of projectors 24€ from the base, the second row 30€ above it. It will be in a place that is not open to the public.
The Edmonton version needs to have the bottom row of projectors at least 8' from the ground with the second row 30€ above it. It will be at ground level of the TELUS Plaza and I don't want people doing shadow puppets in the projection beams. We'll need some considerations inside of this shed to help us lift the projectors to the top row, maybe some built in steps of benches.
Now the bad news, I won't get confirmation that project is proceeding until Monday. If it is a go, I will need them constructed by Dec 9th to facilitate trucking to Calgary and installation the week of the 12th. There is a small amount of play with those dates.
I look forward to talking to someone from your office very soon. Please call my cell phone as I am out of the office until Wednesday.
Thank you!
Thank you for viewing my project!
I am looking for a reputable and trustworthy firm to help me finish the construction of a garage (22x30ft) with a suite (650 sq ft) in a mature neighbourhood on the northside in Edmonton. I had a previous contractor who was to complete the project by November 2015, however the contractor has disappeared - - - !
The project is 20-25% complete (most framing, garage pad, grade beam). Unfortunately I have been left with a partially constructed building, with frequently frozen water lines, poor workmanship, and no value to my lot.
As the contractor has the money that was to take me to shell lock up, I am looking for your firm to complete the project to shell lock up, at which time I can approach my bank for financing to completion. This was the original contract plan.
I realize this is an unusual situation.
I am hoping that you can support me during this time, that you want to turn a worthless structure into one that has value, and that you want to be part of an unique architecturally interesting project that when complete, will be one to have in the portfolio!
Talk to you soon!
I'd like to remove a 12' X 18' section of a cement patio that leans in towards my house. The cement looks to be about 3" thick (measured in the middle on the grass side).
The yard has a 6' access gate located in North East Edmonton (near Londonderry mall). Ovehead lines nearby.
I'd like to get some ballpark estimates, and details of how it would be broken up and removed. If you need any other information, please let me know.
My bathroom was damaged from a leak caused by the unit upstairs. I'm going to have to do extensive repairs to my bathroom. The ceiling is covered in mold around the trap door, and that will have to be replaced. Once everything is cut out, reinstalled, I'll have to mud, sand, prime and repaint the entire bathroom.
I need to know the cost a contractor would give for the project so I can have some numbers for the owner of the unit above me.

I'm moving into a new condo on June 1st 2010.
The condo is in south edmonton
apartment style
Built in 2006
500 square feet is what we'll be working in.
I'm going to need a couple things done.
1. Wire a 7.1 sound system., including projector mount
2. Painting of the condo (easy, no holes or drywalling except for the previously mentioned wiring)
3. Soundproofing the apartment as much as possible, suggestions for door jambs? Not Insulation
4. Putting more electrical outlets into the wall, approximately 5 or 6
This job is paid either Visa or Cash , your choice.
We put an offer in on a house in Alberta Ave and want to convert the single garage into a studio garden suite with help from the cornerstones program. The garage was built in 2005 and is insulated already so would just need to finish the interior and run water, sewer, etc. It has engineered attic space above which I would like to cut in half if possible to open up the ceiling and keep half for a loft area. Build a small kitchen, bath, and living space and cut 2-3 new windows. Would be looking to start construction sometime this summer and I will be around to help with clean up or loading materials or whatever to help keep costs down. I believe the garage is 12x20-22 ft. Let me know if you need any more details thanks.
We're looking for a contractor to join our power team and work on our first rental property. This will be the first of many so we're looking for a long term business partner.
We don't have property yet but we're trying to get an idea for the budget required.
Here's some info on the type of properties we're looking at and the scope of work:
1000sqft - 1200sq ft 3 bdrm 1 bath bungalow/raised bungalow/bi-level split with existing separate entrance.
Scope of work (mid-range finishes):
Create a legal 2 bdrm, 1 bath basement suite with the following features:
- Fire resistant drywall
- Sound insulation
- Separate furnace or electric baseboard heaters
- 4ft x 4ft kitchen/living room egress window + window well
- 4ft x 3 ft bedroom egress windows in bedrooms x2 + window well
- 4pc bath (tub/shower combo with 1 pc tub surround or tile, toilet, one or two sinks)
- Bathroom window?
- Full Kitchen with oven, range hood/microwave, fridge, dishwasher, back splash, new cabinets and hardware
- Create Laundry closet/area/room
- Doors and hardware
- Baseboards, trim
- Pot lights
- Hard-wired smoke/co2 detectors
- flooring (LVP or Laminate)
-Separate the electrical panels and meters. (property will have 200 amp service)
Main Floor reno scope:
- Paint
- Flooring (LVP or Laminate)
- Baseboards and trim
- Doors and hardware
- Kitchen with oven, range hood/microwave, fridge, dishwasher, back splash, new cabinets and hardware
- new light fixtures
- 4pc bath (tub/shower combo with 1 piece tub surround or tile, toilet, two sinks)
- Laundry closet/area/room
Exterior (optional, depends on budget):
- Siding - Vinyl and/or stucco
- Soffit - (cedar looking)
- refinish the cement front entry stairs
- New Windows throughout
- new front door
Small basement landing to be cut back 34 inches.
-Remove door, cut back walls, cut back ceiling, finish with trim on inside walls and ceiling; Must be attractive and finished from inside the stairwell, outside will be unfinished as is in photo. At finish, landing will be very small, projecting only a few inches below bottom of stairs, and flush with existing framing outside of the small landing area
-Move light switch, appears that existing will reach and can simply be moved
-Move central vacuum outlet, appears that would require a 34 inch extension to standard 2" central vac tubing
-Cut back ceiling by same amount, may require a finishing trim piece at ceiling
-Replace existing light with a new light as there will only be 6" of remaining ceiling once finished.
-Floor is to be left bare concrete, rug will be removed up to the bottom of the stairs.
Materials are fairly minimal, a 34 inch piece of central vac tubing will be required, some trim that would be suitable for a transition from a finished wall and ceiling to unfinished. A new light, if necessary, will be supplied.
I would like to have this done on the weekend or an evening.
I tried to get this project going a year ago- considered rehab of old structure. Now, i want my existing detached 2-car garage removed and an insulated triple garage constructed. I would like the garage heated or at least plumbed for gas for a future project and discussion of what heating options are available. Alternatively, I would consider rebuilding as a large 2-car garage with outside pad area for a 3rd vehicle. Lot size is an issue and layout/design is important. Other issues to address are removal of 3 large trees adjacent to existing garage, gas line relocation to comply with standards, rerouting of overhead power line, telephone, cable to underground from proposed new garage to house. I need a proper drainage system incorporated into the floor of new garage. I need a design drawing and want something more than a box with a roof on it. The design part of it is important and i am ok with the idea of paying a design person to come up with a plan- but i need help finding a qualified person to do that (with references and portfolio of previous completed projects). Another consideration is the provision for storage and cabinets- maybe a 1/2 storey for that. Outside of the garage project, the backyard grading of soil away from the house to the garage needs to be addressed and i would like to have a concrete pad or patio area of alternate material for our existing hot-tub addressed along with a new side walk from garage to house
I am serious about getting this project completed by late spring (early June 2012). If you have had experience with a project like this, i am interested in further discussion.
Hi, we need to have our backyard deck partly dismantled - only leaving the floor, but taking down the side walls plus the plastic roof on wooden skeleton support, and finally hauling off the discarded lumber and material. Deck is roughly 130sq feet, attached to a 30year old house in west end of Edmonton. Can you take care of it? If yes, what is the rough vague estimate to get at least a clue, and approximate earliest available date when to schedule it all?
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Patrik
Hello,
My wife and I are hoping to begin construction on a residential development in a mature neighborhood in Edmonton. Once we get approval from the city, the existing house will be removed, and barring any issues, construction should begin with a team of selected contractors. We are hoping to start end of April.
The house we've designed is relatively contemporary (very boxy). It is a 2.5 story square structure, 1100 sqft basement, 1150 sqft main, 1250 sqft second level. We have chosen to go with a flat roof design. The second level is a roof deck patio, so additional support should be included to accommodate additional load.
That said, we are looking for an experienced team with an attention to detail, who can handle the following aspects of construction :
01. Demolition of existing property
02. Clearing and excavation
03. Footings / Foundation (Backfill / Pack Down)
04. Rough In Plumbing
05. Concrete for basement and garage
06. Framing / Carpentry
07. Exterior siding / trims (Hardie Panels)
08. Chimney / Roofing (SBS / PVC Flat Roof Deck)
09. Electrical work
10. Plumbing
11. HVAC (heated floors, Radiant or Forced Air)
12. Insulation
13. Drywall
14. Flooring (Hardwood / Tile / Carpet)
15. Cabinets (Kitchen / Bathroom / Closets)
16. Priming / Painting
17. Clean up
18. Driveway concrete
To be completely transparent, the project will remain open until suitable partners are selected. The top 3 candidates will be interviewed in person. As we are working within a budget, price is an obvious consideration, but demonstration of skill / capability is very important. Lastly, to promote a synergistic working relationship, we place a strong emphasis on transparency and honesty.
If this project interests you, please feel free to contact me so that we may discuss your services in greater detail. Please be clear in identifying which area of development you would be responsible for. Providing a sample portfolio / references is recommended.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
We would like to do renovations on a 1950s 1100 sq ft house in Edmonton. We have attached plans, including existing floor plan with rough estimates, and plans for renovation with more exact sizes. We would like to get estimates on the work required to renovate according to the attached plan. We are not looking for the cheapest bid using cheap materials and we are not looking for a bid that assumes using the highest end finishes. We are looking for contractors who are transparent with costs from start to finish. If you submit a bid, we would like to learn what your experience with "green" building.
1961 home previously been touched by crappy people. Contractor's from variuos feilds can't figure out what and why's. We are limited on budget as we are overly paying for this one since our home inspecter slapped us in the face with the inspection and lied. So we are now dipping into our pensions at 28 to pay.
There's a bit to do lot to explain and to be on budget is another, we tryed DIY and we don't have the time nor the experience. We have alot of frustration in what is to be a home. Just straight answers would be nice. Please leyt me know what you think that would be greatly appreciated.
