Finding a reputable company to tackle our fencing issues was more of a challenge than we initially anticipated. We were turned down by a couple of firms because the 100 feet of fencing we needed torn down and replaced, backed onto multiple properties and was on a sloping hill filled with trees. We found Harley Renovations on the Trusted Pro website and emailed them. Bob got back to us immediately and came by our house the next day to give us a quote. We felt his price was reasonable given the difficulty of the job. Bob was knowledgeable and friendly and gave us a timeline of no more than 5 days. He and his crew arrived on time, worked cleanly and tirelessly and were very friendly. They solved any problems they incurred in a professional manner and actually finished the job in 2.5 days. Bob followed the design we requested and suggested his own ideas for finishing (black caps on the fence posts) which look fantastic and will last longer due to higher grade materials. The crew did their best not to trample the dense growth we had on the hill by creating one path to walk on but if I were to make a recommendation to someone doing a job like this, I would suggest doing it in the fall when the growing season is over to minimize plant destruction.
A big thank you to Bob and his crew for a job well done. The fence looks amazing!
When I went to Cynthia's house and seen where the fence had to go I had my doubts. But after getting up the hill and having a closer look I knew it could be done. The old fence had been there so long that over the years the tree's had grown bigger and really presented a challenge. But with some careful though and a bit of luck we pulled it off, and the fence does' look really good. Even 2 of the neighbor's gave us complements.
Bob
We contacted Harley Renovations to build a wood fence in the backyard. Bob and his team were very professional, very punctual and always cleaned up after each day. Although we asked a lot of questions as we go along the project, Bob explained the details clearly especially since he was dealing with two other neighbours who were sharing the expenses with me. We are very happy with the result. Highly recommended.
I had called several fencing companies and Bob was the only one that called me back right away to set up a meeting for a quote. Once I contacted Bob to go ahead with the work, he gave me an approximate date to have the work done and followed up as was discussed. The work was finished within two days and on time. I was very pleased with the quality of work and expertise. A little thing like having plastic caps on the posts instead of wooden ones for longevity/wear and tear on the post went a long way. The final cost for the job was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Harley Renovations for fence work with Bob running the show.
Harley Renovations was great to work with. Unlike many companies I called for an original quote, Bob actually showed up when he said he would to provide a comprehensive quote on the job. Like their website states they will not be the cheapest quote, however the quality of their work speaks for itself.
Extremely professional from the very beginning, Bob and his team showed up every morning, either on time or early and explained every step of the process along the way. They were clear as to when I needed to call the inspector and what to expect from the process.
Bob responded to all my inquiries in a timely manner, and was easy to talk to, by phone as well as by email.
I would not hesitate for a moment to use them again.
Nicole and Steve are very nice people and where great to work for, we will be back there this week digging holes for a second deck that Steve wants to take on himself, hopefully watching us do the first deck and getting some helpful tips from my crew he will do a good job.
Prior to working with Bob and his crew from Harley Renovations, I had never really considered customer service as part of the equation when hiring a contractor. Typically, the job is planned, the workers come in, go about their business, and everything gets done as planned without much interaction. What I really appreciated about the guys from Harley is how they kept both myself and my wife engaged throughout the entire process.
Any questions we had were handled promptly and most importantly without argument. There was a constant exchange of ideas on how to handle every situation that arose, and any improvements we asked for during the process were handled exactly as requested.
Although landscaping was not part of the original quote, a member of the crew came back once the fencing job was complete to assist us with tilling the backyard and finishing the work.
Their craftsmanship and expertise were top notch. We have a couple of future renovations still being planned with our kitchen and bathroom, and we would not hesitate at all to contact Harley for those jobs. Overall we had an outstanding experience provided by a highly professional group.
Scott and Char where the greatest, they even invited us to their May 24 back yard party. Not many customers as nice as these two people, so down to earth.
Bob
They did a really nice job building a fence in our backyard. Bob was very professional to work with and very responsive via email & phone. We were so please we have asked them to do additional work for us.
Finding a good contractor is not so easy - especially in busy Toronto. We found this company via the Internet and took a chance on them. We lucked out I am happy to say.
Bob and his colleague were great! They came to our house each morning on time and took their time without cutting corners. Would call them again if I needed another job done.
We did a small tile job for Raji. We installed a new tile backsplash in her kitchen, her and her husband where very nice people they gave us a tip on top of payment. That was very nice of them.

After struggling for months to find someone to replace my poorly installed bathroom floor tiles back in 2008, I found Harley Renovations listed on this TrustedPros site.
Bob responded to my email the same day and arrived as promised a few days later to inspect the job and provide a quote. After looking at the tile that I purchased, he really impressed me with his knowledge by explaining the issues related to installing 12" x 24" tile. No one at the various tile stores mentioned the "cupping" issue with larger tile and how to address it. As a result, Bob was key to setting my expectations on the actual install.
The quote was on the high side, but I decided to go with Bob based on his knowledge, availability and positive reviews. Bob and his crew arrived on time and worked non stop.
Given that I am a DIY person who works from home, I was watching the entire process from start to finish and they were great in answering all of my questions and concerns.
They did experience issues along the way, (ditra not adhering to floor due to poor mortar, lining up tile to uneven tile thresholds, etc,) but managed to complete the job on time and budget.
For me, the big plus with Bob and crew was how they came back to address a small issue I found the next business day.
The only constructive criticism I can provide is the lack of dust containment during the removal of the old floor, but not a big deal as I was able to vacuum before my wife arrived home from work :)
A big thanks to Bob, Shawn and Dominique..It was a pleasure getting to know you guys.
Scott was having a difficult time finding a contractor that could and would do a quality job. His floor tiles where very poorly installed. Again by a contractor that cuts corners. Over half of my jobs are cleaning up someone else's mess. I can't believe the number of shabby people out there that call them self's contractors.
Bob
I can't say enough good things about Bob and his assistant Shawn. After a potentially disastrous sink cabinet replacement unearthed a whole bunch of unexpected gotchas, I seemed faced with either just accepting an ugly porous bathroom or having to do a major renovation. But Bob took a look and told me, "Don't worry, we can make it right."
He was truly as good as his word, and at a price which was tremendously reasonable. I'd recommend Bob any time for his honesty and know-how. Thanks again!
Ahmer is a good guy, I laughed when I seen the vanity. He is like a typical DIY'er. once the wall is open it's OH OH now what do I do. For us it was just a matter of making a few suggestions to Ahmer so he would have a nicer looking bathroom, then once he agreed we made the changes and all in all it turned out pretty good.
Bob
Excellent service throughout - undertook a number of jobs in our house, all completed to an excellent standard and to schedule. Very reasonably priced and will be contracting Harley Renovations again in the new year to finish some further improvements that are needed.
Peter & Caroline where great to work for, they got a bum deal when they bought their house. The previous owner covered a lot of very poor work with some drywall & tile. We did a laundry room in the basement, new kitchen cabinets, new hardwood flooring on the main floor, new sub-floor in the kitchen, put down Ditra installed new floor tiles and tiles on the wall above the cabinets.

When we build fences we always dig our holes a min. of 3 ft. we do not use nails. We use screws and we use end cut to seal any pressure treated wood that has been cut. Other companies charge extra for screws and using end cut, we do not cut corners.
When we build decks we use (only screws) no nails and we always use end cut to seal any pressure treated wood that has been cut.
