Can any contractors remove load-bearings walls (ie: General Contractors) if there are Engineer drawings available?
Yes it is as long as he knows what he is doing. It`s not a big deal.
Yes a load bearing wall can be removed by a contractor if drawings are available. Depending on extent of the wall being removed you could also consider getting permits for you local municipality.

Good afternoon,
I would take a look attack when you're question for you. Any general contractor knows what he's doing we will be able to remove the loadbearing wall. Loadbearing wall and need to be replaced with Parrelan beam. Engineering drawings are gray box. Not a big job is not to really come off it's just a job that you can be done correctly. The Parrelan been is not. Expensive.
I hope this answers your question? Please excuse the spelling mistakes as I am dictating this as I drive.

A contractor such as myself with experiance in building up support from the basement up. With the use of L.V.L beams. And often breaking open the concrete basement floor, excavating, pouring footings for structural jack posts etc. Be sure the contractor you choose has experiance, and follows the engineers drawing to the T.
Hope that helps.

Thanks all. That's very helpful. I just want to make sure I'm looking in the right places for someone qualified.
Yes, providing he knows what he is doing. Contact a engineer for advise.
