Just bought a two storey 1893 double brick home. Main roof was reshingled in 1999 with 25 year tiles. Tree branches fell and have caused leaking into my home. The additions are also leaking due to nail punctures and over flowing eaves troughs that were installed couple years ago. You gotta see it to believe it.
I'm also contemplating getting the attic spray insulated, getting sidding installed on the addition, and so much more.
Hi there,
We're looking to have our second floor carpet ripped up and replaced with engineered hardwood. Our popcorn ceilings scraped and finished. And a wall built out in our master bedroom for a walk-in closet, including the demo of the existing closet.
Would like to find out availability and if you're interested in coming by for a quote.
Looking for a vendor with a reputable rating over 4.5+ with recent reviews.
Good morning,
I have an upstairs renovations that needs a walk-through and thereafter a quote as soon as possible. My sister ex-fiancee left the upper floor completely unfinished and the majority of the walls are exposed, which led to my sister to moving out because of her young children. There was a water closet started between the two bedrooms. I currently reside in this house with the ownership under my parents who requested that I get contractors in the house to quote the upstairs so my sister can move back in. I can get written documentation allowing me to receive quotes if necessary.
Thank you
We need a few repairs done around our home:
1. running dual-flush toilet
2. leaky roof around old sealed-off chimney
3. re-hinge exterior basement door
4. lay down new railway ties to buttress driveway edge
5. patch holes in back porch screen
Can you help with any or all of these? Need a visit and an estimate.
Many thanks
Richard
I've successfully completed the professional design drawings for the project and my permit has been approved by the City. Please contact me by email with your interest in the project and I will send the details for you to prepare a quotation.
- I've completed most of the demo already and would finish the rest based on your requirements.
- I have an electrician of choice which I'll manage in coordination with the schedule.
- No plumbing considerations.
- Need to split current HVAC output a short distance to ensure new outputs on each side of the added partition wall.
- I would handle flooring, painting, installing fixtures, doors, after you're done with the framing, drywalling, etc.
I'd like to start the project in May.
Please submit intent to bid on this job as soon as possible if you are interested. As we do not have access to the property these quotes can only be provided based on the enclosed description and architectural drawings. We are looking for some quotes and designs on a deck with an installation of a sliding door to access from our kitchen. The fence is also something we are interested in completing the existing to fully enclose the backyard with side gates or to erect a new privacy fence.

Good afternoon,
We recently purchased our first home, and we have a few projects that we would like to complete:
Placing a slope of material (perhaps asphalt) around the foundation on one side of house so that the water flows away. The house is approximately 1200 square feet.
Cutting wood legs of patio and placing on cement blocks. There are approximately 15 legs.
Fixing fan in fireplace
There is a fan in the bathroom, but we need to complete the ductwork to the roof. The bathroom is on the second floor and the attic is a full-attic that is partly finished. We are also thinking of installing a roof turbine vent.
Adding a deadbolt on our main door.
Is it possible to get a general estimate (price and time) for the above listed projects?
Thank you,
Lacey and Carlos

This is to upgrade the interior of the clinic. It will require removal of a few walls in the back half of the unit and reinstallation in a different configuration. Presently the unit has a central hallway front to back with rooms on either side. The front half of the unit will remain as is. The new configuration will have the hallway bending slightly to the right and a new entrance to the back room and washroom. Plumbing will be required to move the sink in the washroom to allow for the new doorway. Electrical will be required for new switches and outlets in the reconfiguration. Flooring is presently carpet and may be changed to laminate if unable to be matched. The entire unit will require repainting. Before and After plans and detailed reconstruction expected can be faxed for quotations. Thank you for your interest.
Hi there
We are looking for a contractor to complete some structural work in the basement of our approx. 95 year-old two-storey house in Hamilton. We've had a structural engineer inspect the site and draw up the plans for us, and have just received the approved building permit from the city.
We've had issues over the past few years with sagging floors on both our main and upper floors, and are looking to reinforce the main beam with LVL, install larger footings and new posts, and ideally jack up the main beam slightly to correct the sagging as much as we reasonably can.
The approved plans include:
- Reinforcing each side of the main beam (approx. 30’ long) with 1.75”x 7.25” LVL.
- Installing new larger 3’ x 3’ x 10” footings under the two original posts. Engineer has noted specifications of the footings and that they are to be cast on native undisturbed soil.
- Replacing the two original posts with new ones with specified ratings.
- Installing a new 2’ x 2’ x 10” footing and steel post to support existing staircase in basement.
Along with this work from the plans, we would also like to have the following done if possible:
- Sistering two joists which have cracked.
- Look at the possibility of replacing stairs and landing of basement staircase.
The basement is partially/roughly finished and has a tile floor, though most of the beam is exposed. About a quarter of the length does run through a bathroom and laundry area, so some amount of demo would be required. We would not likely be looking at refinishing the bathroom immediately after the work, as long as it is still functional. We’re also aware the some finishings on the other floors may crack when the beam is raised, and will deal with those repairs at a later date. Our main concern at this time is stabilizing the structure and levelling the floors as much as we can.
We are hoping to have the work done this September or October if possible.
Thanks.
Ryan
