We would like to explore the possibility of renovating our garage into a bachelor-type apartment. The previous owners already built an addition to the back of the garage which we use as an office/bedroom and has a shower, but we want more space with a kitchen. This new living area would be used by my parents-in-law.
Hi There - I have a separate two car garage constructed of concrete block that currently opens into my back yard. The garage backs onto a private drive and I would like to open it up so that a double door (or two singles) opens facing the private drive (most garages on this private drive open this way).
I've attached pictures that show the front view (doors open into back yard) and a side view and back view as well. Back view is where we want to open up to the private drive. Seeking quotes on cost and timing.
Thank you.
This is a multi part project to fix up the exterior of my house. This would include:
- Fixing up an old detached one car garage with a sagging roof, including relaying the cement floor, installing new door, window, garage door, replacing the siding, running electrical to the garage.
- Fixing up a small approx 5x5' attachment/shed structure at the back of the house. Including installing a patio door, drywalling the interior. Installing a new door to the basement.
- Building a one step high approx 12'x10' deck in the back.
- Painting the Exterior Brick of the house.
- Removing and Disposing of fencing around the front of the house.
- Removing and Disposing the old porch railing and flooring. Rebuilding the Porch Floorboards, Stairs, and Railing.
- possibly some landscaping, cement laying
I am not necessarily looking for one contractor to do every aspect, as this has many different parts. I'm open to bids on just parts of it.
Thank you.
Residential garage is 75 years old, wood construction, with brick corner pillar, double-length, and shares part of one wall with neighbours' garage. The outside wall was undermined when a garden was dug out along the side of it. Garage wall has sunk & slipped sideways about 1"-2", tilting the garage (more than it used to tilt) as a consequence.
A contractor is needed to support the outside garage wall while digging under it, then form and pour a spread footing, and secure the wall to the footing, in order to stabilize the garage.
Additional scope, if interested, would be:
1) To correct some of the tilt in the garage (ie. straighten it as much as possible).
2) Some of the corner masonry, and modified-bitumen roof, and asphalt inside the garage will need repairs, once the garage is stabilized.
I want to convert my garage into a bedroom , the concrete garage is approximately 20x10x10 feet , including ; one wall, an entrance (door ) that leads into the basement from the room, carpet floors, one window , heating vent, insulation, electrical; two light fixtures and 3 outlets, and a closet.
This is all I can think about, please let me know if it is possible and if it can be done within a budget of $6000- $8000, if less even better.
I am looking for quality, efficient, trustworthy, professional , budget-friendly , and insured contractors, I recently got my bathrooms renovated couple months ago and I had alot of difficulties with the contractors, so not looking for such an experience again. If you are unable to complete this job with the above stated qualities please do not respond to this posting.

The job in question is for multiple reno jobs on the main floor of a townhouse (constructed c. 2012). Please review below alongside attached file:
1. Removal of (I believe it is) empty bulkhead above kitchen island. Install pendant lighting to existing electrical outlets.
2. Powder Room: Removal of tile on floor, and place new tile. All walls are currently drywall. West wall will be tiled. I will supply tiles for floor and wall.
3. Applied crown moulding to drywall.
4. White open shelving with few cabinets as shown,
5. Bench with back and seat cushions. The seat will be hinged for storage beneath.
6. Removal of wall, and relocation of switches. I do not believe this is a load bearing wall. The drawings show this as a thicker wall housing a shaft. In actuality, the wall is thin and I believe it to be empty.
Please provide:
1) A price inclusive of all items,.
2) A separate price for each of the 6 items listed. (so that we may pick and choose the jobs in case we can't afford to do all of them).
Thank you!!

The floors need to be replaced (ideally would like to put in laminate) and the stairs need to be finished. If you feel you are right for the job please feel free to contact me.

Compensation to be determined during interviews.

Hello,
We are going to be moving into a detached bungalow for December 1, and have approximately 600 sq. feet of vinyl floor to be removed. The floor underneath is brick, which is unusual, and we are hoping it can be leveled. We also need two walls removed, one of which may be load-bearing. I am in the process of contacting structural engineers to find out if leveling the floors is feasible.
Thanks!
