I am currently developing my basement and have a little nook in it that I thought would be good for a bar. It is 10 ft long but only 4ft deep. I don't want it to stick out anymore, because I am putting a pool table around there. I am looking for ideas, I don't need anything to fancy. Would anyone be able to help me out? I'm not sure what I can do with the space (may be to small for bar?) Just wondering what you guys could do.
Thanks
Bryan

Hi,
I am just inquiring about a quote on finishing work for our basement.
I am looking to have the baseboards completed and installed as well there are 2 windows and 3 doorways that would need to be trimmed. Approximate size is 750 sqft.
Not sure what other information you would need to complete the quote.
Thanks,
Nicole.
Basement renovation on a 20 year old semi attached home. Approximately 872 sq ft. (upstairs is 872) Basement is currently partially developed (front portion) but would need old development removed. Have floor plan designs (architectural designer) already completed. Basement will consist of one large bedroom with closet (already have window to be put in and am arranging concrete cutting for placement), one 3 pc bathroom with linen closet (pedestal sink, toilet, and neo angle shower) requires concrete to be cut to lay new plumbing lines, laundry room, one office(with closet) and family room. Back half of basement is unfinished. Want ceramic tiles in basement bathroom (floor and around shower enclosure) and laundry room (floor) if can be done reasonably, otherwise will settle for linoleum. Will do own painting, trim and baseboards. Do not require carpet installed as am having it supplied & installed in basement by different company.
I would prefer this to be done in two stages, back half completed first, then front half due to storage limitations. There is a 600lb treadmill in the basement which cannot be removed, stand up freezer and washer & dryer (stacking). Would like this started as soon as possible.
I am looking for a quote for the finishing on my basement.
What we would like to be quoted on is:
Baseboards in the whole basement
We have two mid sized windows that need to be finished on the inside (all 4 parts of the inside of the window)
Also the trim around the outside of the window
We wanted to know if it was possible to do a barn door on the laundry room as its 2 doors
a bathroom, mechanical, bedroom and closet doors.
We also wanted to put crown molding on one feature wall.
and we have 2 ledges and a bottom of the stair railing ledge of that makes sense.
I think thats all but if your coming to give us a quote I can show you what all we have.
Basement sq feet is about 500.
The house is only 4 years old.
we just finished putting in the laminate flooring in.
we wish to have our basement finished (our house is 2 years old) Our wish list is a sewing room(plenty of light) bathroom (we have vanity and want a tiled shower ) bar with counter and sink in main room . Storage for childrens toys . Character is what we are after , also a fireplace (JOhn has the mantel he wants to use. )We would like to do our own electrics. Thank you
An old condo/townhouse(more than 20 years), an unfinshed basement with no drywalling and some electricals. We propose to renovate the area in stages starting with the full installation of a bathroom including walls, ceiling, fictures etc which will consist of a shower unit, toilet and pedestal sink. We are looking to develop our basement (currently unfinished). Here are a few quick details of what we are looking for:

- 1 bathroom (3 piece with shower)
- 1 bedroom
- Living Romm/Rec area (would like to potentially look at custom/built in entertainment unit for big screen)
- Small Dry Bar
- 9' Ceilings

Basement renovation on a 40 year old semi attached home. Approximately 700 sq ft. Basement is currently partially developed (front portion) (we will demob & remove old development). Have floor plan designs (architectural designer) already completed. One structural beam need to be upgraded. Basement will consist of two bedroom with closet (would need two new windows to be put in, one in each bedroom and in one bedroom the current window would have to be enlarged or sealed off), one 3 pc bathroom (pedestal sink, toilet, and neo angle shower) requires concrete to be cut to lay new plumbing lines and move plumbing stack as well us enlarge the current window or completely seal it up, laundry room, storage room and family room. Want ceramic tiles in basement bathroom (floor and around shower enclosure) and laundry room (floor) if can be done reasonably, otherwise will settle for linoleum. Would require financing for this project and our mortgage is with TD bank.
I would prefer this to be done in two stages, back half completed first, then front half due to storage limitations. There is a 600lb treadmill in the basement which cannot be removed, stand up freezer and washer & dryer (stacking). Would like this started as soon as possible.

Hi, We were looking to have our unfinished basement renovated. It is approximately 700sq ft. Essentially, we would want to section off the mechanical room and leave it unfinished. We would like one 3 piece bathroom. (plumbing was not roughed-in) We would also like one bedroom (+ standard closet) that an additional window would need to be installed for. The remaining space would be just left for an open family/entertainment room. Overall, we are looking to keep things basic and keep the finishings on the affordable side. If you would need any additional information, please let me know but if you could help us with a quote, that would be great. If an appointment is needed, I do have time on Friday afternoon.
Thanks,
Thomas
I moved to new house that does not have separate entrance. I would like to create separate entrance and want to develop basement so I can rent it out. I want a basic functional basement with no bells and whistles. Also, if possible I would like to make it a legal. I know it is very tough in Calgary.
800 sq fit undeveloped basement. Would like 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, family room, fire place, kitchenette/bar, and washer and dryer. Laminate flooring on general areas. Tiles on kitchen, bathroom, and laundry areas. House is 25 years old. Will need an egress window for one bedroom. Need to run a gas line for upstairs kitchen which will also need renovation (not this time as basement is priority). Want a contractor that will let us do some work (ie painting) to save some money.
Looking for someone to develop our basement. Square footage is approximately 700 square feet and we're looking for a bedroom, bathroom and main area. Bathroom plumbing is all roughed in and the windows are all regulation size to develop the basement.
Looking for someone who can look after it all for us however I am willing to look after pulling permits and buying material.
Please let me know if you're interested. Time frame for completion would be to have it done by February.
