Builtru Construction did my kitchen renovation last summer, and Wayne and his crew were the easiest contractors to work with. I tried several companies that either ghosted me or were not interested in working within a budget or helping me get what I have always wanted. A friend recommended Wayne and his company and I am very happy with the results. The crew gave me very helpful suggestions and options for finding the right fit for my kitchen and my ideas. They helped design my kitchen, even working with my specific sink, fridge, and island plan while staying within my budget. They created a bead board look for my island that I have always wanted. They kept me informed daily on what was done and what would come next. If I was at work they would send me pictures with options so I could see what they were saying so that I could make a good choice when decisions needed to be made. The crew was extremely helpful, very clean (my friends commented that they were much neater than anyone they had ever worked with) and they always left each day with temporary tables and space so that I really wasn’t put out as much as I expected to be, I always had a partial kitchen. When complications arose (as they always do) they contacted me right away, explained the problem and gave me all of the options to repair what need to be done. Unexpected rotting floor and walls were fixed with minimal extra expense. They arranged for the electrician and plumber for me, and the estimates I received were very close to the actual cost. When there was an issue with the sink 8 months later Wayne contacted the plumber the same day to help me out.

Thank you Wayne at Builtru for quickly replacing my mother's deck and stairs.This was a difficult job because the deck is on the second floor and connects her kitchen to the upper level backyard (high side of a slope/mountain). The pitch of the hip roof is low and the height from the eaves to the ground level of the upper backyard is about 8ft. We wanted the deck to be covered and Wayne creatively came up with a plan. The stairs from the deck are on a slope and turn a corner, height from the deck to the ground is about 10ft with an additional 2ft drop (at the corner) to the ground floor of the house. Des and Mikey built 4 landings to make the climb up the stairs easier. They built the covered deck and stairs with ample footings and I am sure this has added value to the house. This is the second complicated project that Builtru has completed for me and I will definitely use them again.

Wayne and his team completed a floor to ceiling tiled shower installation for us recently using a mix of porcelain and marble tiles. Everyone was very professional and friendly, stayed on budget and on time, kept good communication about when they would arrive, etc. and offered helpful suggestions. And, last but not least, the finished shower looks fantastic. I definitely recommend using Builttru for any renovation project and will use them again for any future projects. Great job!

Wayne and his team just finished our legal basement suite.
They are professional, and care about their job and it shows on the craftsmanship.

We obtained a couple of quotes for work and ended up hiring Wayne to completed our basement – install cabinets, backsplash, counter top, range hood, etc – simply because understood what we wanted and what the challenges were. His quote was very professional, well laid out, clear and concise.
Wayne and his crew are very professional; they would arrive at the time they said they would each day. Never noisier than needed to do the job at hand. While there were a couple of small manufacturing issues…Wayne quickly dealt with the issues and had them resolved.
Wayne kept to his written quote we never saw any budget creep even thought we had a couple of adjustments.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or hire Wayne again.
