We have just completed our main floor house renovation with Wayne, including the kitchen, dinning room, living room all bedrooms and entrance way of our home in Abbotsford.

It was a BIG job including wall and ceiling removals - wow what a mess! But Wayne walked us through each phase and problem solved all of the unknowns that arose and stayed within our budget. He was open to all of our changes, additions and our endless questions and the few slight panic attacks and always put us at ease.

His team was experienced, eager and a welcome addition to our home daily. We are now completing the front exterior of our home and Wayne and his crew have been with us every step of the way. We look forward to working with Wayne in the future!!!

Wayne at Builtru took on completion of our project in the most challenging of circumstances (partially completed home owner build, blizzard and torrential rain) and worked with us to achieve our dream; the end result is everything we could have hoped for. I very much appreciated the ability of Wayne, and all of his team at Builtru, to work with me as I took on the responsibility of coordinating, as my husband was by then gravely ill. My questions were answered patiently, my opinions taken into account and options offered. Standards are high and attention to detail is obvious. I very much look forward to working with Builtru on the next phase of our building project, and have every confidence in recommending them.

I contracted this company to renovate my staircase and the person who came out did an excellent job. He ripped out the carpet, evened out the steps, constructed tight-fitting treads and installed snazzy buttons on the treads to hold them in place and give the staircase a vintage look. The clean-up afterwards was impeccable. Altogether I am entirely satisfied with the work done and would recommend this company to anyone.

After interviewing multiple Contractors, there was only one who actually seemed to "get it". Wayne was on time for our first meeting and everyone after that. He made sure that we were both on the same page regarding the process, materials, payments, etc. His entire team was fantastic. Going through the renovation there is always items and unexpected things that come up. Typically this could be very scary as you never know what it could do to your ever moving target of a budget. Wayne made this part seamless. Instead of bringing issues to my attention, he brought solutions. Multiple solutions with costs, and reasoning behind each one so it enabled me to make a valued and trusted decision in what we were doing. Builtru went above and beyond from start to finish, taking on extra scopes of work and still finishing exactly when they said they would. I am already working on the next scope of work to bring Wayne and his team back!

Thank you is an understatement. There will be only one person I will be contacting the future for any renovations that i cannot look after personally.

We had them first do a job this last summer where they did a lot of fix up jobs on the outside of our house and then they painted it. They did such a good job on that that this winter we had them do a major renovation to the suite in the house. This included laundry room, kitchen and putting a window in the main bedroom.

Again they did such a great job and where so easy to work with. That I have absolutely no problem with making a very positive recommendation for them.

This was my very first time building and opening a new commercial office. Wayne helped me understand the entire picture step by step and always communicated openly to me.

All my ratings below are accurate and truthful - I'm extremely happy with the results and would definitely hire this company again.

Whoever said "go with the bigger company", doesn't know what they are talking about. I went with the bigger company only to have 6 weeks of my time wasted, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as I chose to call back the first contractor I called....Wayne at Builtru Construction. Wayne not only met with me the very next day but provided a quote (which he stuck to) and had all necessary drawings and paperwork completed to get the job started within a week. Wayne and his crew worked tirelessly including weekends to meet my deadline. Wayne paid attention to every detail and was present and available to walk me through every step of the project. I will absolutely use Wayne and Builtru to complete my next project and recommend him for anyone out there looking for a contractor.

The crew was very professional, super clean and did fantastic work. We had work done throughout our house and during summer when our kids, kids from the neighbourhood and dog were hanging around. The buildtru crew delivered in a professional and courteous manner that I am very happy with. I know how good or bad it can be as I work in the construction industry as an electrician and these guys are pros in every sense of the word.

We moved into our house 6 years ago and have had nothing but issues with our shower leaking in the master bedroom ensuite. After having the original builder and home warranty in to attempt to fix it multiple times with no success we called Wayne at Builtru Construction. Wayne provided us with a detailed quote with various options within 24 hours of attending our house. After hiring Wayne he set to work almost right away. He was sure to listen to all of our concerns and kept us apprised of his progress every step of the way. He went above and beyond to ensure a job well done (for example, matched the crown molding in the bathroom to the existing molding in our bedroom - which we would not have thought of). We felt very comfortable with Wayne in our home and trusted he had our best interest as clients in mind at all times. The job took a day or 2 longer that anticipated but that was for reasons outside of his control. The end cost was almost completely in line with the original quote. Wayne is clearly dedicated to providing top quality products and service and we never felt pressured or forced into any decision and were always provided with as much information as possible to make an informed decision. We are extremely happy with our bathroom (no more leak!!!) and the work that Wayne has done for us. We would recommend Builtru Construction to anyone who is looking for an honest, hardworking professional.
