Robert was easy to communicate with and responded to every email efficiently. He was able to give us a quote and complete all the work within a weeks time. He pointed out some hazards that he found when replacing the receptacles and improved the safety while explaining the costs before he completed the work. I had many questions that he was more than willing to answer and we will definately be asking Robert back to continue the upgrades in our house in the near future.
Thank you for the business Julie and glad I was able to remove those "multi-pass-painted-over" receptacles (could hardly tell they were outlets there was so much paint in them) from 1970 to the new tamper resistant decora, modern touch and safe, who would have known??
One thing about electrical, you never know what lurks behind the walls from years of renovation and DIY'ers.

After getting several quotes for a basement renovation from other electricians, I finally came across Electrilight Ltd. Robert got back to me within a couple of hours to set up an appointment for a quote. His quote was thorough, and overall better than the previous quotes and more in line with my budget for the work I wanted to do. He was always punctual, polite, very knowledgeable and very professional. He ran all the wiring throughout the basement, cleaned up the existing wiring from the builder lights, and installed all the boxes, dimmers and switches and was extremely tidy with the whole process. He is now my preferred electrician/recommendation for any future electrical work that I or anyone I know may need.

I contacted Electrilight to quote my basement renovation. The house is an original 1950’s bungalow and the electrical was in need of updating as well as old wiring to be made safe. His quotation was very accurate, with no surprise costs or extras. He addressed the old wiring and made safe, tidied up the panel as needed and installed new electrical services to the rec room. He was punctual, courteous and extremely professional. Workmanship was very professional and super tidy! He met all the timelines he promised, showing up with all the right tools and equipment to complete the job in a timely manner. Very easy to communicate with, whether phone or email and always answers his calls.
I highly recommend Rob/Electrilight and look forward to using his services again!

As a contractor in the industry for some 20 years I have seen many trades come and go, recently are electrian retired leaving us to find a new one which was difficult after working with the same guy for many years. We came across Rob and many others and asked them to submit a detailed estimate on a pending job. Robs price was not the lowest or highest but right around the number I had budgeted. Rob came when he said he would, which is extremly important to us as contractors he was easy to work with and did a professional job on time and on BUDGET. CMJ Renovations was very pleased overall as was my client and we will use Rob as our preferred Electrian in the future

I have hired Robbert for a number of jobs around the home. Installing Ethernet drops, installing 2 cieling fans. He is a very fast and courteous person. I was very happy with his work and his punctuality. He will be working on another job for me this fall wshen the weather cools down.

Robert and I have worked on many projects together over the years. His philosophy is the same as mine, if it is done right the first time you should never see us again about failures or shortcomings on that particular job. If your going to be a bear, it is best to be a grizzly bear. No half-assed, half-hearted attempts in any of Roberts jobs. Robert may not be the cheapest guy on the block, but then again you are not paying for the cheapest guy on the block. I truly believe that any project Robert takes on for his clients will be done not only to the best his ability, but will be done to ensure the safety of those he does work for. Roberts customers will not find him working on any project that he is not 100% sure of. The end result of using Robert at Electrilight Ltd. for all your wiring/cabling projects will always be at the very minimum up electrical code and above Canada's safety standards. No short-cuts, No cheap-outs on materials, No cutting corners to save himself a few dollars. Roberts first priority will always be to ensure that every electrical project he does is done correctly, because, there are few second chances once an electrical fire starts.
Outdoor hot tubs must have a LEC (licensed electrical contractor) install the wiring for these and we provide the ESA inspection as well, the only thing we don't do is supply the tub and dig trenches.

Older electrical systems should be checked and repaired for peace of mind. If you have aluminum wiring it is definitely time to review all connections. If you see flickering lights or snapping switches or outlets, the danger could already be started.
Electrical full home inspection with or without ESA final inspection. 2-6 hour inspections will tell you what is good, what is bad, and what your home (selling or buying) is all about and what condition it is in.
We provide wiring for all home theatre, we don't provide the equipment (screens, TV, PVR, etc). we can, but recommend you see a local shop for those and best sale prices.
All new wiring for commercial buildings, renovations, new equipment connections, relocations. New lighting, power upgrades, panel changes, service entrances.
