Looking for contractors to finish our basement. We currently have the subfloor, framing, and electrical completed but current contractors rarely show up and it is taking way too long. So will need someone for drywalling, floors, minor brick work and to complete powder room and laundry room.
Basement of a 2600 sq. ft. home (approx. 900 sq. ft) currently unfinished. Finish to include family room with wet bar (bank of cabinets with sink) has or electric fireplace, bedroom, 3 pc. Bathroom ( toilet, sink shower), stackable laundry hookup and laundry tub enclosed in bathroom. Separate finished storage closet. Ceiling insulated in family room, laminate with subfloor to allow drainage through, except bedroom to be carpeted.
4 yr old house. Half of unfinished basement and stairs. Approximately 625 sq ft. Intended use is gym/studio and kids play area. Thinking of engineered wood flooring, open area, possible 1/2 wall or other solution to separate areas. Electrical throughout. Door to remaining unfinished space with furnace and storage. Depending on the price and quality of work, I may be interested in doing the entire basement which would include enclosing the furnace area and a small bathroom (rough-in already there). My priority is having this completed before the colder months so my wife & I can work out with the kids present.
Almost done saving up to get the basement done. Looking to get a quote(not estimate) for now, time and cost to get them all done. The plan is adding a Guest/Bedroom and a 3piece ensuite (stand-up shower). Attach picture shows the foot print of the basement and where I plan to have the rooms placed. I understand that this may change depending on the proper/legal coding.
