I'm looking for a contractor that can build an entrance to my basement. The basement is already a walkout, with patio doors (see attached pic). But on the opposite side there is a window (above the AC), I would like that window removed and an entrance built. Also will need the concrete patio extended over to the new door. And I assume the new door will need one or two concrete steps. I will also need the AC unit moved a foot or so to the right....it's very old and will be replaced in the spring anyway. I will get the keys to the house on Nov 30th and would like this work done immediately after I get the keys.
Detached home (rear access), demolition of rear carport and excavation of new area (approx 22ft x 17ft) at rear of house to extend basement and build 2 storey (main and 2nd floor) addition (brick exterior), underpinning front and side (46 linear ft), benching on the remaining side (28 linear ft), removal of rear wall, lower basement floor by 24in, reposition furnace and hot water tank in basement, lay new drainage and plumbing, finish sub floor ready for flooring. Windows and exterior to be finished, Interior insulation to be installed but Interior framing to be left exposed, additional HVAC, wiring and plumbing for addition not part of this project.
Building permit and plans already in place.
90 year old house with stone foundation. Basement walkout, 6'x10', 4' below grade, needs removal and rebuild including steps and floor lowered 6". There is a deck and balcony above supported by brick columns.
I have drawings and permit from Toronto. Work to be done in spring.
Hello,
I am looking to have someone come in to give me an estimate on converting my attic to a living space. I live in a small bungalow in Toronto east and I am not sure if the space can be converted. The dimensions are 40 X 22 with a height of 7' (I think?). I don't want anything too fancy...access stairs, wood flooring, skylights, insulation & some electrical plugs.
I HAVE A 6 BY 5 FEET BATHROOM NEEDS TO BE FINISHED (WORK NEEDED INSULATION, DRYWALL, MAYBE A LITTLE HEATER WITH READILY ELECTRICAL LINE AVAILABLE, AND PUT TILE ON WALL AND FLOOR) MASTER PLUMBER WILL DO ALL PIPES AND VENT AND CONCRET FLOOR FOR YOU TO READY TO PUT TILE ON TOP.
THE BASEMENT FLOOR WAS REMOVED ALL THE CARPET READY TO INSTALL THE TILES.
THANK YOU.
My husband and I are looking to do some renovations in our condo. Our 3 piece bathroom is a complete gut, and re-do, our master bedroom, hallway, livingroom/dining room need the floors replaced. Our 5 closets need new organizers, as well as I want to turn one of them into a linen closet, plus 2 of our closets need mirror doors installed (with headers added), and if we have enough in the budget, I'd love to gut and re-do our 2 piece bathroom as well. We do have pets that need to be protected during the renovations, as well as we want a company that has experience working in condos and understands the by-laws. We are looking to start this in the beginning of the new year.

Want to replace old bathroom in basement, change sink and mirror, tub, shower, toilet, fan, retile one side of bathroom wall, want to use pre-fab 1-pc tub & shower kit, drywall outside of bathroom need repair.
Need to repair basement ceiling, approx. 60 sqft? not exactly sure of the size. age of house if 80years, prefer standard most cost-efficient materials because of limited budget.
Need to replace 4 windows
Hi - I am fixing up my condo to sell and am looking for contractor quotes on one or more of the following projects, thanks:
- Renovating a bathroom, including: vanity, sink, faucet, mirror, light, baseboard heater, floor and shower tiling, paint. 70 sq feet. I have items picked out from home depot or open to alternatives.
- Painting living room and bedroom, two colours picked out, approx 600 sq feet in total. Window sills may need sanding.
- Carpeting a bedroom, approx 100 sq feet.
- Adding a door to a laundry closet.
- Fix gaps in laminate flooring in a few areas, adding inside two closets.
Bathroom: Currently the bathroom is very small, with an old fashioned tub, single sink vanity and toilet and space for one person to stand. I would like to expand the bathroom into adjoining rooms, which would involve moving an air vent, replace the tub with a fairly large stand up shower, and a double sink vanity.
Attic: The attic is in good shape to be renovated. The floor would need to be reinforced, the upper beams would need to be moved, slightly higher, insulate, drywall, flooring. Would like a bathroom, with a soaker tub, toilet and small vaniety, Possiblity of putting a thrid floor walk out.
I am looking for a general contractor to handle a couple of jobs around an old house (Victorian 1884) which I purchased.
I would like to say that my wife and I are designers and we are looking for somebody who is very detailed orientated and has an understanding of modern ascetics.
1. There is a second kitchen on the second level which needs to be gutted and new drywall, trim, required. ( Approx 10' x 10').
2. New Bathroom. All tiles, sink, vanity will be supplied by me. The room is approx. 5x7. I would like to have a shower cubby put in as well. The plumbing will stay in its current location. Basically a facelift. Maybe a floating sink. Nothing to out of the ordinary.
3. Removal of eight knob and tube wires. Three of them are used for light fixtures, one needs to be removed completely. It is on the main floor right above the electrical box. Not sure what happened here the hole house was rewired minus the easiest room in relation to the junction box.
4. The interior of the house repainted white from top to bottom. Approx 2200 sq ft victorian. with high ceilings.
Metal beams holding a platform for people, complete with tarp roof and curtains as well as the batting cages. Beyond the batting deck, there would need to be a metal structure that housed the pitching machines, as well as the large nets where the balls are hit into.
All of this must be build with a staircase walk up and high enough above ground for a large truck to still be able to park underneath.
There should also be electricity available through the structure.
