A recent home inspection revealed a leak in the master bedroom shower which is dripping below in to an unfinished basement storage room. The ceiling here is open to above.
The inspector indicated that the tiled shower bench is not sloped correctly, and water pools on the bench. It appears caulking was used to attempt to correct the leak, however the caulking is peeling away from the tile allowing water through.
At this time, there doesn’t appear to be significant water damage so it is assumed the scope would be limited to addrsssing the leak and repairing the shower and/or shower bench.
There is no leftover tiles for the shower so it is preferred that the tile can be reused and/or replaced with similar or the exact same tiles.
