I have a 1200lawyer square foot split level. I'm looking to fix kitchen countertops, drawers and cabinets, replace a tub and tile the surround. Install laminate I already have on two staircases and in a hallway. Level and fix a unfinished basement floor and install baseboards on three levels. I'd like to do this at a minimum cost so with mid grade materials. I also need two closet doors hung a bedroom door finished bi fold doors fixed and a banquet remove and hopefully replaced with kitchen cabinets.
We want to add the existing dining room to the current eat in kitchen, by removing one wall between the two. The kitchen is to be redesigned with new cabinets, appliances and counters. We want to add the rear entrance, hallway, and a storage closet to enlarge the master closet into a walk in and enlarge the master ensuite. We may add a wall with pocket French doors between the existing dining room and living room. The house is a 1700 square foot bungalow building in the late 1970's and has copper tubing and wiring. The basement will be undeveloped.
Price and quality are our concerns. Most of the demo work has been done. As we are wanting to renovate up stairs first before we move into the house. The basement will be developed at a later date.
I noticed the water spot in the ceiling on our main floor pantry. It is about 1/2 ft by 1/2 ft now. Our bathtub is directly above this spot so perhaps the tub is leaking on it from above?
1) Find and fix the leak.
2) Any flooring and drywall removed to be put back properly.
3) Fix the ceiling discolouration.
Please provide a time estimate along with a quote. We have a baby due later this summer so need this fixed efficiently.
Thanks,
Hello, I am the owner of a 6 unit property. The basement unit has a shower that is leaking. The job will involve removing tile and dry wall to locate the leak, plumbing skills, replacing drywall and shower tile, as well as re-tiling the floor, which has some water damage. The bathroom is standard size: approximately 6'x8'. The whole job needs to be completed in 2 days.
We currently have a leaking upstairs washroom seems to be coming from the bathtub or even toilet. Biggest issue is there is rotting underneath the Lino on the floor, bathtub and black mould. The ceiling on the main floor is starting to show brown as a sign of water damage. We desperately need help and not sure how much this will cost as we are low income. The leak has been left for about 3yrs now. If anyone is able to provide services by paying in installments that would greatly help.

I am currently planning a complete bathroom renovation. I will need demo, removal & replacement. Install & replace a jetted tub, new mould resistant board, tile to ceiling & fixtures, vanity complete with counter, sink, fixtures & mirror, tile floor (sub floor to). This is an average size bathroom with a jetted tub & 40" x 22" vanity with sink. I need to know what materials are offered for price & choice(tile, countertop, fixtures etc...) please let me know time frame & availability.
The cut tent powder room needs plumbing to be moved from an inside wall to the outside wall. There is currently a shower and washing machine connection set up on the same line. The latter needs to be removed completely. The basement underneath this room is unfinished.
Would need to get a permit as well
I would like to get quotes for this job.
I plan to do this renovation in the next 2 months.
Thanks,
Patricia
Master bathroom has been gutted except for vanity. Would like a tile shower with glass doors and cement bottom, which will fit into the corner (there was a cheap neo-shaped plastic shower in there before). We bought a corner jet tub, so that would have to be framed in and the plumbing would have to move to accomdate this. There was a jet tub there before, so there is electical. Tile the floor, around tub and probably up the walls about four feet. There was tiling up the wall before, which was ugly so we just cut the drywall away. Husband put up drywall, but it would still need to be taped and sanded.
renovation is in an apartment complex- work can be done from 8am until 10pm everyday of the week.
we will supply most materials- tile, fixtures, lighting, toilet, cabinet, etc.
needed is a drywall job on ceiling/walls, build pony wall, install pocket door, installation of lights, cabinet, tiled shower stall, flooring, fixtures, and finishing work.
We would like to complete the renovation of our master ensuite; we will be removing the existing tile to be redone with travertine on the floor, in the shower and around the tub. we will also replace the existing tub, toilet and shower stall, install radiant floor heating, and replace plumbing fixtures (tub and shower only). we may also want a half wall built around the shower.
We will be looking at getting quotes from qualified contractors.
We are looking to renovate our master bedroom and ensuite. Currently the sink is in the bedroom space with the toilet and shower in an enclosed room. We prefer classic styles - anything too contemporary is not for us. The space is about 270 sq.ft and our house was built in the late 1970s.
We aren't sure of a design, so would like the contractor to suggest a good layout.

Hello,
This form does not give me the ability to cover everything that I am looking for to get done. I also want Landscaping in both my front and back yard. I need a company that has interior decorators/designers that are good with putting together a "Country Style" of design. What I wish to accomplish this year is the following: Interior: Master bedroom - new wood floor, new closet system, completely remodeled bathroom with a sauna or sauna/shower in it. I think I might have an electirical problem that needs to be looked at and I also need to have ceiling light fixture repositioned and changed. I need my walls repainted and new trim put up. Although I do not know if it is possible at this time, I would also like to re-invent my basement family room and spare bedroom. I would like to re-design my powder room on the main floor. As I stated earlier, I need someone to help me figure out what style and color of furniture to buy and curtains to put up and how to place them in the room.
Exterior: Both front and back yard need to be done. As low maintanence as possible and still give a feeling of country living. I would like to put a garage up but may not be able to afford it at present in which case, I would probable go for a driveway in the front. We had our front porch enclosed last year and now the stairs just don't look right and are not as confortable to use so that will have to be taken care of.
I am looking for a company that has been established for a few years and has a good reputation and references. A good standing with the BBB etc. has interior decorators/designers, does landscaping and interior renovations
I wanted to add more organization to my mudroom.
At the moment we have a washer and dryer side by side in the mudroom and a bench (approx 3 ft) next to it.
We wanted to remove the bench and add a locker instead. It would have hooks and 3 shoe shelves.
Across the top of the washer and dryer we wanted to add cabinets all the way across.
Can someone tell me how much that would be approximately?

Expect to find deterioration in substrate material +/or wall framing.
Elevated moisture readings found behind tile. Anticipate repair +/or replacement of tile, substrate and
possibly wall framing.

That is what my home inspecter from home masters said. We need to replace this 3 sided shower with a new one. Everything needs to be replaced. Want tiles on walls and rounded stone floorring. 4 feet/4feet area, Help!
I just purchased a home and discovered that the overflow drain on the tub is not connected properly. I had a bath and the water came out from the ceiling in the living room.
I am looking for a contractor who is familiar with plumbing and ceiling repair to correct the overflow drain and repair the ceiling.
The ceiling hole is small in diameter, but the ceiling stipple/stucco has come off.
The house was built in 1930, so the pipes are cast iron. I am also having water pressure issues in the bathroom. The water pressure in the rest of the house is fine. The house inspector did not catch any of this.
