Hi,
I live in a condo and I'm looking to install a new bathtub, tile around the tub, replace the faucets in the tub, new tile flooring (including the foyer, storage room and kitchen) and install a new vanity. The whole area is about 200 square feet. I'd also like to install a new kitchen sink and faucet.
Since I live in a condo they have some specific questions regarding the renovation including:
1. Who is doing this work?
2. Are they insured, is there WCB coverage?
3. Are City permits required?
4. Who is engaged for the plumbing/electrical work, and are permits required?
I'm hoping you could help me answer some of these questions during the in-home estimate. I'd like to get started on this ASAP so please let me know what your timelines look like for starting this project.
Thanks,
Lisa
In our ensuite bathroom we have a stand up shower, jacuzzi, toilet, bidet, and double sinks on one long counter with cupboards under each sink but an open area on the floor in between the sinks (possibly for a make up chair). We would like the bidet and shower replaced with a long standing shower. We'd like the shower to be full glass doors and small glass tiles. We also need lights put into the shower as there are none now and possibly two shower heads. The sinks need to be replaced with bowl sinks, an updated counter top (it is currently wood) and the cupboards to be replaced and the gap filled in with drawers for more storage.
Our bathroom is from the 80's and is mainly wood. It needs to be updated, but I don't need granite counter tops or marbles floor. The floor actually was the only thing replaced and
doesn't need any work to be done on it.
18 year old house. 2 Bathrooms have oak boxes with flourescent lights - want these taken out. Wall repairedand repainted Mirrors taken out - replace with wood frame mirrors. In master suite would something (wood) built with potlights and a tower cabinet in the middle of the vanity.
looking to work with someone who is somewhat creative and can build something for the bathroom from consultation with us. Want to pay and fair price but recent estimates for renovation companies have been very high.
Not a large job.
Small bathroom (5' x 8') needs to be gutted. Need new tub, shower doors, vanity, lighting, accessories, faucets, mirrored medicine cabinet. I have chosen tub, shower doors, vanity, lighting, accessories & faucets to be installed. Would have to provide drywall, flooring, ceiling fan, baseboards. Tile can be discussed if you can supply or I can source.
Looking for quote to renovate main bathroom in my condo. Room size approx 10' x 5 1/2.' Looking to replace everything. Tub, sink, toilet, floor, all fixtures, and even what ever drywall needs replaced. Also ceiling stiple is flaking off and needs refinished. Inspections are welcome. Condo is located in Canyon Meadows
Tub to walk in shower (Schluter shower kit) conversion. Old walls have already been removed, the tub is disconnected only needs to be taken out, several floor tiles need be removed (some have already been removed), toilet already removed. We provide the faucets/tiles/shower kit/shower doors/toilet, looking for someone to do the plumbing, electrical, install waterproof walls, install Schluter shower kit, tile the walls/floors (aprox. 150sqf), install toilet, install shower doors. Experience with Schluter shower kit a must. Materials such as thinset, grout, mortar, drain, drywall .... to be provided by contractor. The job pays up to $3000.
Bathroom Renovation:
Ensuite bathroom needs to be completely gutted and renovated. The size is approx 3.1m x 2.1m and is divided up into:
- shower stall (1.2m x .75m)
- toilet stall (1.25m x .76m)
- closet (2.1m x .63m)
- open area (2.1m x 1.5m) with a pedestal sink.
Overall dimensions are 3.1 m x 2.1 m x 2.4 m high.
Need all new fixtures, sink ,toilet, shower and medicine cabinet and light fixture.
Repace all the ceramic tiles in shower, (existing ones have mold) plus shower floor
Replace window (0.61 m hg x 1.24 m wide)
Install ceiling fan (currently does not have one)
The backing boards behind the shower would probably need to be replaced, as would the shower door (1.6m x .6m wide)
Possibly replace floor, current flooring is ceramic tiles except in closet which is linoleum.
The house is 50 years old but I don't think this was the original bathroom, it was probably built in the early 1970's.
It would be best if someone looked at the bathroom before providing a quote.
Thanks
John H
This is a rental property so I don't want anything fancy or expensive. It is the main bathroom and it definitely needs a new tub and the walls behind the tub, as well as a new toilet. I would like a quote on that work and also one that would include a new sink/countertop/cabinet as well as a new lino floor.
Remove 3 side wall of Shower (built in) and install new shower stall or tiles with glass door with faucet and accessories
All required plumbing to be done in the wall as required
Install mold resistant boards/materials, flooring to be changed, sub floor to be changed if required
Toilet to be replaced
Grout, seal and caulk as required
Replace Exhaust fan within same frame, if possible
Clean up and remove all waste and old materials from site
Warranty to be specified.
Would like work to be completed in short time frame from start date which may require more manpower for quick turnaround.
All pre-ordered material if shipped directly to site to be inspected prior to work start.
Please provide 2 or 3 customer referees and all labour at site to be insured and bonded.
Current master bathroom has been gutted. I am looking to have the following work done:
Design/install a tiled shower area with glass door of some kind.
Install a new bath tub in a new (or existing) bathtub frame - with new tiles
Tile the floor
Install an existing two sink vanity (we bought something we liked already).
Plumbing, electrical - modified/adjusted as required
Tiled floor.
Own an older condo (apartment on second floor) built in 1962 in the NW. We would like to install new tub (shower), low flow toilet, maybe new vanity and sink. The tub wall would need to be gutted and re-dry walled and tiled.
Tub wall is adjacent to a storage room and some other units in the building have a washer and dryer installed in the storage room.
Would consider putting in washer and dryer in our storage room if possible.
The upstairs full bathroom needs a full renovation.
Replace 25 yr old bath tub (tiled) with a one piece bath/shower. New fixtures for the new tub.
Replace sink and cabinet with new sink and cabinet.
Replace toilet with new low flow flushing toilet (one of those with two sizes of flush).
Replace linoleum floor with tile.
The room itself measures about 6'x10' (small). And all items in the bathroom are original (30 yrs old). There is some concern wrt rot/mildew for the floor and drywall around the tub and the project can be expanded to deal with that if warranted.
Online quotes for cost and time needed. Pictures available.
I have a bathroom in a rental property that needs to be completed. I have removed the tub, toilet and vanity and installed new plywood on the floor.
This bathroom is roughly 8X8 and will require installation of new fixtures, drywall, and flooring. It will also require wall tile and floor tile.

Small bathroom needs to be stripped to the studs and redone. Space is tight, only room for a tub (with shower), toilet and sink (pedestal or small cabinet). I would keep the current layout. There is a window above the tub. I would like the area around the tub finished in good tile. Floor should be tile. Emphasis on usability and cleanability.
Bathroom is approximately 5 ft. by 6.5 ft with an extra 30"x24" area where the toilet goes.
I would like an online estimate. I have 2 bathrooms that need some renovation.
1st bathroom needs new sink fixture installed (I will purchase fixture), needs new floor (linoleum floor), and possible leak in toilet..
2nd bathroom needs new sink fixture installed (I will purchase fixture) needs new floor (linoleum floor), bathtub grouting is starting to turn black in places (need fixed).
The house is almost 18 years old and the floors in the bathrooms are the original floors. I am not sure on the square footage but both are very small bathrooms.
Need a bathroom renovation . Townhouse is about 30 years old. Replace bathtub, replace vanity, replace sink, replace flooring ( remove lino, replace subfloor, installl tile), replace plumbing for bathtub and sink. No painting required. Relatively small project ( small bathroom in a townhouse). Also need an advice and a quote about building second bathroom.
House built in 1979, want a new bathroom. Intall a window in bathroom, replace old shower tub with only tiled shower area with shaving bench, new vanities, mirror, new cabinets (toilet already replaced) everything else must be replaced with new. Including tiles on the floor. Paint and ceiling. New drywall is probably required as old ones is maybe not waterproof.
I'm looking at renovating the ensuite bathroom in the house I own.
It is about 16' x 12'.
I want to remove the existing tile (floor, shower, tub side & backsplash), the existing vanity (2 sinks, counter top, cabinets) - the vanity itself is about 7' long
And replace the above with new. I'd like to do the vanity with 2, two door cabinets below the sinks as usual but add drawers in between. Also would like to add a narrow shelving cabinet on top between the sinks.
The bath tub, shower fixtures & doors are good and would stay.
May also want to heat the main area of the floor
renovate and update 1930's era small bathroom...currently lath and plaster. would require almost complete gutting (homeower to supply).

plumbing:

Remove and replace existing bath tub, tiles and wallboards with cement board, 12 x 12 tiles, better faucet and shower head as well as glass door to enclose tub area. PUT IN SHUT OFF VALVES and access panel. Put in shut off valves on sink, too. House built in 1979. This is a basement bathroom but I want something nicer than I currently have. There may be mold behind tub. Wallboards are soft to touch in a couple of areas. Access may be difficult re: cement board due to location of stairs to basement. If you have cat/dog allergies, this is not the project for you! Thanks & cheers!
