Robert was meticulous in his estimating for the project, the actual work done and his follow up to ensure everything was up to my expectations. Robert is a legend! He was super helpful in not only fixing the wiring for our dishwasher but explaining what we needed to do to install the dishwasher. He also assessed our panel in our basement and gave great advice.
Legend, WOW, I honestly can say that term has never been used before for a MasterElectrician, but I'll certainly add it to my review lists!

I found Electrilight Ltd. (Robert) through TrustedPros (Google search) and was impressed by his ratings and client comments. Now we know why - firsthand. Robert is a Master Electrician and actually does the work himself which was huge to us, and we also wanted to 'shop locally' hiring an Oakville/Burlington-based company for service close-by. Robert was prompt, professional, courteous, confident and caring in upgrading our panel from fuses to breakers and he also fixed a few outlets that were not working. I learned a lot from him in the process, very fair pricing, left no mess and he wonderfully labelled everything in the panel- Bonus!

It was a pleasure helping you out of that annoying problem. As a reminder, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide need replacing every 10 years, batteries should be replaced annually (cheap ones) or 2 years (for high quality batteries). Test all detectors as frequently as you can (monthly recommended). All electronics can fail at any time without notice, but luckily that little chirping at night let you know something is wrong and to fix immediately to avoid a bad situation. Good idea to install simple battery units in your bedrooms and one in the laundry room, dryer fires are not common, but have happened too many times from not cleaning dryer filters.

Robert is a very professional and respectful man. His work is exceptional. He responded to my phone call in a timely manner, scoped the job, showed up on time and completed the work with no delays. I am more than pleased with the end results.
It has been a pleasure installing some new overhead power in your condo for the new bar, table and bedroom fan. Even when the builder can't be bothered installing ceiling lighting (hello..switched plugs were ok in 1985, not in 2016), we can always spend some hard hours and get what you need for a comfy home!

Last year Robert installed all our electrical circuits and lighting for our basement reno. It was approved with no quibbles. This year we needed to replace our Fire and CO alarm sets (past there best performance date) and needed some work done on our main floor Halogen pot-lights. Since we really liked the way Robert conducted himself, his knowledge and his workmanship we didn't hesitate to ask him to do the work. The work was completed in a couple of hours following a few days after us calling him and discussing our requirements.

Thank you for the review. Just to clarify, an estimate for the work was provided prior to call out and ended in exactly what was anticipated. All issues were resolved sorting the problems you were having. All calls do have a minimum service charge to cover vehicle, licensing and office expenses.

Robert and I have worked on many projects together over the years. His philosophy is the same as mine, if it is done right the first time you should never see us again about failures or shortcomings on that particular job. If your going to be a bear, it is best to be a grizzly bear. No half-assed, half-hearted attempts in any of Roberts jobs. Robert may not be the cheapest guy on the block, but then again you are not paying for the cheapest guy on the block. I truly believe that any project Robert takes on for his clients will be done not only to the best his ability, but will be done to ensure the safety of those he does work for. Roberts customers will not find him working on any project that he is not 100% sure of. The end result of using Robert at Electrilight Ltd. for all your wiring/cabling projects will always be at the very minimum up electrical code and above Canada's safety standards. No short-cuts, No cheap-outs on materials, No cutting corners to save himself a few dollars. Roberts first priority will always be to ensure that every electrical project he does is done correctly, because, there are few second chances once an electrical fire starts.
Outdoor hot tubs must have a LEC (licensed electrical contractor) install the wiring for these and we provide the ESA inspection as well, the only thing we don't do is supply the tub and dig trenches.

Older electrical systems should be checked and repaired for peace of mind. If you have aluminum wiring it is definitely time to review all connections. If you see flickering lights or snapping switches or outlets, the danger could already be started.
