Worst service I have ever encountered. Called them to repair appliances and canceled 2 hours after the quote was given by the technician. The cost was supposedly $80 waived if we went ahead and booked the repair. 3 weeks later, there was no refund on our order so I called to follow-up. The lady who spoke to me told me that I was going to receive a call within 48 hours from the Finance Department to process the refund. A week later, no one had called, so I called them back. Once again, the operator at the Accounting Dept try to blow me off by telling me that I was going to receive a call in the coming days. This time I declined her suggestion and insisted on talking to someone. Finally the person who took my call said that we would be refunded less than half of what we were charged because "servicing" was done, even though the technician could not do repair the appliances because he needed parts and we were charged almost $2500 for parts and future repairs that would take 2 weeks. Our tenants couldn't wait 2 weeks with no washer and dryer so I canceled the repair and bought new appliances. This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with, literally scoundrels with fake reviews on their website that give them 5 stars. I would give them negative stars if I could. The staff is also very rude and unable to say "sorry" to a client who is frustrated by their lousy service.
This company scammed me for 400 dollars they had promised to refund on a part and follow up repair that was ordered but then cancelled because the problem was plumbing and was resolved.
Their visit lasted exactly 5 minutes long to “diagnose” the problem. For this they charged 300 dollars. They wanted the follow up part and repair
pre-paid, which should have set off alarm bells for me. Read CTV news article about them online.
Worst Company Ever!!!!
Their repair guy took my dishwasher apart and claimed the problem is "usually" a sticky button on the control panel. I agreed to the work, only to find (and I assume the guy knew) it was non-fixable and they could get me a replacement part for almost $500 (plus tax and installation).
They stuck me with an inflated bill of almost $400 for nothing and when I complained and requested we split the bill - the manager kept saying I had agreed to the work. They seem to have a creeping fee structure - beware these thieves.
Biggest rip off contractor I have ever had the misfortune to find and hire.
Called these guys last weekend when our dryer quit. They told me $80 to have a technician come out and take a look. Technician arrived Early Sunday and diagnosed a blown fuse. Now the bill is $290? But wait, turn the dryer on and now the fuse blows again. (not surprised because something causes the fuse to blow, right?). So now the heater element is shorting and must be replaced. The heater element is another $165 but oddly he doesn't add any more labour because he's already charged me $290 to change a fuse. Tech comes back Monday afternoon with a new heater element, replaces it, takes the balance of his money and leaves. Thursday when my wife started laundry she fired up the dryer and after running for about 15 seconds it shut down again. Call the Appliance Team back and guess what? Now it's a warranty issue and has to be ' investigated '... seriously? We've called 4 times now and and the file is locked and they can't do anything until the warranty department unlocks the file. I like so many wish that I had read all the reviews first but it was the weekend and we were half way through our laundry. Website looked legit, they were very responsive on the phone so all seemed good. Keep looking, don't use these guys. Never mind the customer service issues, they still haven't diagnosed the problem.
Called to get a Dishwasher repair. They sent an incompetent service tech named Naz on September 30 2023. He spent maybe 10-15 minutes looking at it, just by pulling lower panel out. He said it required a new circulation pump/motor.
Should of trusted my gut where he said they require money up front, but seeing as they sent someone so quick to assess the problem I figured they should be also prompt in getting the job done.
Paid $763.43 ($220 for labor (includes the $80 inspection fee) + $455.61 for the part, which was just slight above what it costs to purchase the part myself online plus regular Ontario provincial tax.
I had to call to inquire if the part was ordered and get the service date booked. They booked Friday October 6th, then called me to reschedule for Saturday Oct 7th in the morning, then called me again same day to say he would come in the afternoon, then called me again to say he cant make it Saturday, however he is available Sunday. They called again to say that the part that he ordered was broken and that he has to reschedule.
He came back Oct 18 2023, asked me to get some of my own towels to lay down the dishwasher, quietly used his Punjabi profanity trying to figure out how to remove the motor. I was there watching the whole time watching a YouTube video to see if what he was doing was valid. Then I noticed he took out the pump filter and ripped out he metal mesh using plyers?? He tried to reinstall it without the mesh, saying that there would be no problems, however when i noticed that he went outside to sit in his car looking at a YouTube video to try and figure out the problem it became evident that this guy did not know what he was doing. So politely, I said look, I know that filter needs to be installed or else there will be problems later on in the future. He then agreed and promised me that he would get me the part for $120.33 at no extra charge which he wrote on the contract and get the job done right in order to prevent any problems in the future. Phone call after phone call to try and get this resolved and just like everyone else here complained, the customer service team lied and was rude and useless. They said the technician said that they never promised it was going to be free, that I would have to pay for the part and that there is no supervisor to speak to to complain, no option for refund, and that no one could help me.
Stay away from these people. Absolutely horrible and unethical company in every aspect.
Oct 17 15:42pm Do not use this company. The a team appliance repair in Unionville Ontario L6G 0B5. They just come and charge you $316 and nothing working. Yesterday I have the a team appliance repair -Amit came in 15:42 for 20 minutes. Most time spent on writing receipt & process debit card payment for 10 minutes. I feel like someone come in to rob $316 dollars from me. This is worse experience. I want money back as when I book she told me technician will come to analysis the problem and if I decide not to give him the job to repair after he told me the parts and labor cost then only need to pay $80 but he charged me 316.40, amid said I can pay $600-700 for next labor work but he cannot tell me cost of parts. Basically, Amit just want more money but not doing the job. this company will not repair my washer. Stay away
Attached the so called technician image from home security footage. Stay away from this company & read and research reviews before booking. Stay away the a team appliance repair in Unionville. It is cheaper to buy new than use this unprofessional company.
Thus morning Oct 18th I went to check out new appliance for washer it is about $900 for big load capacity washer,good I didn’t stupid to give Amit the job else I would total pay over $900 for nothing. So why paying these un professional guy. Stay away.
They came and told me that they had fixed the fridge, took a sum of 300 dollars for 5 minutes of “work” and said that the fridge is repaired. They actually did not do anything, they are not responding now and when they did they are being very aggressive. They have stopped taking my calls. They are complete cheats and I have been cheated. I have no way to even contact them anymore as they refuse to coordinate any further with me. I also wrote a review on their website and they removed it. Can anybody help me how to get a remedy pls.
The Good. The "tech" showed up on time.
The Bad. The "tech" was terrified to be alone in the basement.
The Ugly. The "tech" made it sound like he knew what the issue was, only to use a Yahoo video to try to diagnose the issue. After this failed he called someone and spoke in a foreign language to make it look like he was on top of it. When this failed I was advised that the motor was the issue (when it was not) and was told it would cot $ 900.00 to repair and would be a 4 hour, 2 man job. This company is a total scam as I am sure this is their go to as they have no clue what they are doing. I can call a Vet out to may horses for less money than these people charge and the Vet can give you an answer to as what the issue is.
I think this company might be a scam. I paid over $700 for freezer parts they supposedly ordered. They won't give me any ETA for the parts, and won't even confirm whether the parts are being made by the manufacturer. I have been waiting 4 months for the parts. Now, my broken freezer is leaking badly and wrecking my wood floor. I asked for the technician to come back to give advice on how to stop the leaking, but the company won't schedule another appointment. I keep calling them and they stonewall me. One person says they'll check with another person and call me back, then they don't call back. I have lost my temper with them on the phone, so I think I'm totally blacklisted now. They have my money. If I cancel my order, they probably won't refund the money. I am going to call the BBB.
Very disappojnted by the sceduling of the appoint, and what I receive as service from my money. They are disclosing the 80$ visit fee to come, diagnose and propose the labours/material to fix your proble,
The guy just shown, spent 10 minutes on the diagnostic and announce 280$ in labour to fix the mother board.
15 minutes later he declared that this didn't work by resetting the mother board so the part will cost me an additional 580$ in parts.
Do not trust this company - the 280$ is a flat service fee that the company is asking the repair guy to charge.
