I live in a Center unit Townhouse in Newmarket and have a partially finished basement that I would like to get finished . What this would include would be completing the drywall of the basement walls ( currently three quarters complete ), enclosing the laundry room , completing the ceiling , adding pot lights and installing vinyl flooring. Additional details can be discussed upon inspection of the space .
Basement is approximately 950sq ft. Looking to do framing, drywall, electrical, 3 piece washroom rough in for toilet, sink and shower. Insulation is installed already however I was told there is no vapor barrier behind it. Most of it is open concept, except the washroom and another wall to close off an area. Its a walkout basement.
Doors, floors, plumbing, stairs etc are not required for this project.
Property owner. Looking for estimates.
I just purchased a new home and want to have my basement gutted. I have plans to turn the basement into a legal basement apartment. However I don't have the funds to complete the project all at once. I also need to knock down a supporting wall with the possibility of requiring an egress window installation.
I would need someone that can gut the basement for me and put in a support beam so I can open the space up and divide it into a functioning unit. You must have knowledge of what is required building code wise of a legal unit with regards to egress windows. Example window size required for bedrooms ( light ratio per window size). I'm pretty sure I am aware of all the other requirements.
I would like to be able to do the framing and dry wall myself. As this would have to be down in stages. Due to funds.
I would require this ASAP. As I move in at the end of July.
The unit is a finished unit right now however it was completed wrong. 1x2 strapping with out any insulation. The size of the unit is 1100 square feet. Please provide me with a rough estimate of cost. And from there we can schedule a viewing to determine actual price.
The home is located in Newmarket. Need a contractor that can get a permit (yes they have to complete the engineering drawing). I have the architectural drawing as what needs to be done.
Below is the required job:
0) Complete the eng drawing and permit from the city
1) Open the separate entrance walk-up door at the side of the building
2) remove the carpet and complete laminate flooring about 1000 SQF
3) Complete the opening for kitchen
4) Add additional dry-wall, couple of doors
5) ceiling spotlight (about 12)
6) give it a fresh look.
quote can be labour or labour and material.
The budget is 20K for labour only.
I have a small middle unit townhouse in Newmarket and I need to finish the basement. The previous owner had drywalled about 60 percent of the basement. What still needs to be done and quoted on is listed below (please note aide not have the square footage so I will need someone to measure in person to provide an accurate quote):
I would like a quote on the following work to be done :
Drop/Suspended ceiling with Pot lights
Laminate flooring and baseboards installed
Create a storage space under stairs
Complete the drywall and insulation on the unfinished walls
Good day,
I was looking to get a few estimates on finishing my basement. My house is about 6 years old and the basement is completely unfinished and my house is approx, 2500 square feet.
As I can appreciate that this may be a busy time for most contractors, I am open to either having someone come in to do the job in it's entirety, or doing some of the work myself to mitigate contractor's time and the overall costs.
Please feel free to contact me to arrange a time.
Thanks,
Shaun

Hello, we would like to create some walls along a portion of our unfinished basement. We own the house and it is our primary residence.
Wood framing preferred, with drywall and taping. We will take care of the paint.
Measurements: 7ft H, 40ft L - including a chimney alcove.
Also add 2 electrical outlets.
Work to be done preferably between January 24-30.
The following is for LABOUR only, we can discuss whether I get the material required myself for you and/or if you are to supply for additional cost.
To complete already existing roughed closet with rods and shelving. Install 2 small closet doors and all hardware required for existing opening.
Install flat door to back of closet(do not want drywalled as would like to use for add'l emerg exit)
Need to tile top and side of pre-fab shower unit, drywall is already installed
Cover openings to holes in ceiling drywall that were left open for electrical access boxes (2 openings) Ceiling is drywalled but 2 access points were left available in case of future need and these just need to be covered to blend with remaining ceiling
Repair and adjust transition flooring between basement bathroom and bedroom as well as transistion floor to basement work area and bedroom
Install a wall and a doorway (approx 6 ft including doorway) between basement work area and basement bedroom. (Currently this is an open hallway area in basement enterance to back room area)
All doors would require casing as currently just door openings no pre-existing doors and/or hardware
Medicine cabinet (already purchased) to be hung in bathroom
In addition, front screen door needs to be shimmed as does not close correctly, door is less than a year old
I live in a 10 year old Newmarket townhome. My square footage is 1683. I would like to have my basement finished.
I am looking at open-concept as the area is not very big (approx 840 sq/ft). Framing and drywall, drop ceiling, and laminate flooring. There is rough work there for a 2 piece bathroom. I would be looking for quotes with and without the bathroom being done as my budget is tight.
I am of course open to any recommendations.
Looking for professionals to finish our basement. Square footage of entire house is 2260 sq.ft. Not sure of the exact footage of basement. The basement walls are already framed and dry walled. Sub floor is already down. We need someone to come in and finish the ceiling, electrical, potlights, taping, priming and to do the washroom from scratch (incl. framing).
Thank you for your time.
We need a (wood) double gate built in a 3m space at the side of our house that opens inwards with a latch strong enough to withstand the weight of a 100lb dog if he chooses to push on it. It can be attached to the house, but will require a footing/support post installed on the 'fence' side.
We also are looking for estimates to complete walls/electrical/flooring in a basement room approx 115 sq foot - as a first step. We are leaving the ceiling open for the moment until we get the rest of the basement finished -- and we'd also like an estimate on completion of the rest of the basement (approx 900 more feet), including all ceilings and a bathroom with a shower.
Thanks

1) Add One bedroom 12 x 12 with closet, add high quality laminate flooring;
2) Enclose furnace, add a door, leave furnace room unfinished;
3) add 3 piece bath, rough in already available and will likely not relocate roughed in plumbing, Use moderately to higher quality finish in bathroom; corner glass shower open to ceiling, I already have 65 sq feet of tiling for shower job for two sides of shower, add sink/cabinet unit with granite; add tile flooring
4) close off a hallway with door and wall.
5) lay floor tile in entrance of new area, perhaps under tile heating system (approx. 100 sq ft)
6) Add 9 LED spotlights in total;
Other) Outside walls are already insulated to floor; basement is 8.5 feet; may opt for high quality dropped ceiling look rather than stippled finish; house is 16 years old; no concerns re moisture; full length window in proposed bedroom area;
