Basement rec room. I have a building permit and have passed framing inspection with the township in Stouffville. I also have applied for ESA permit and passed electrical rough-in inspection. Currently I have just tested lighting and circuits which are working and I'm going to do insulation and vapour barrier and contact township for insulation inspection.
What I would like is a contractor that would be willing to do the drywall. I'm firm on this and the quote I'm requesting is serious. I have decided not to do the drywall. Im also willing to discuss options for the completion of laminate flooring I've already purchased as well as installation of knock downs for the bifold doors and one door to existing utility and storage in the basement.
The area I have framed is about 600 square feet. The subfloor is dry core. I have taken great care to do an accurate job which has passed all inspections to date and I am looking for a customer driven contractor to complete the finishing touches. I would like to receive at least three quotes.
Regards,
Sean
requirement include, design of basement to include open concept for wine cellar, office and media room,
Home is five years old, bungalow, to develop 1/2 of basement
L shapped room, 1,400 sq feet, requires dry wall, ceiling all electrical,
on line estimate at this time, cost and timing, no rush to complete
The house has been erected for over 2 years now. We want to finish the basement for an additional family room and an exercise area. There is about 800 sq ft to cover. There is a rough in for a bathroom but we are not going to build a bathroom at this time so no plumbing will be required.
We would like to have a carpeted area and then another area with a more durable flooring as this is where the weights and treadmill will be.
For lighting, most likely pot lights, maybe some wall sconces.
There are bay windows above the basement so there are two indentations in the foundation which may be nice as custom shelving.
Only one wall will need to be framed from scratch and it's about 12 ft or so as that will be storage/furnace.
There are only 3 electrical outlets in the basement now so we'll need several more of those too.
We are in need of renovating our unfinished basement-new house in Ballantrea Golf & Country Club, 1 yr old.
Our first step due to short time frame is to put in a bedroom. Visitors are coming in from out of town July 18th and we require bedroom; the contractor we had lined up just called to inform that another bid came in and he now has not time to complete.
Next steps will be complete finishing of basement, storage/bathroom, large entertainment room.
Thanks for any information. Please contact Cyndi
