I was so pleased with Robert and his company. Excellent work!! Always arrived on time, kept in contact and kept me informed with everything including suggesting where I could find my front lights for the house.how to pay and estimates given ahead of time.
I have no complaints and have all ready recommended him to my friends. I actually got the referral to him from my niece who got hers from a neighbor. He is a star!! Knowledgably and professional!

Robert was on time, professional extremely knowledgeable and informative. He completed the work as promised, made sure it was functioning correctly and also followed up after the fact to ensure all was still as promised. I would highly recommend Robert for any electrical work and will reach out to him in the future for any additional needs I may have.

Hot tubs certainly require multiple things to consider for safety, not only the incoming wires, but all metal objects within a 10' radius could become a ground path for leaking current and might need to be grounded properly too, metal stairs or railing included! Robert is a pleasure to work with. My job schedule changed often and Robert accommodated every request. The job was professional, always showed up when he said he would, was courteous and personable. The electrical inspector showed up, was here for about 30 seconds and said 'I don't need to see anymore, this work is obviously done right' I would highly recommend.

I have only all good things to say about Robert and Electrilight. We had three lights go out at different times on the same outlet. We had just paid an electrician to go through the house and check everything and shortly after the lights blew out one at a time. I didn't want to use the same electrician so I called Robert. He responded right away and was at the house within a couple days to look at the problem. Within a few minutes of looking at the outlets he knew what the issue was and fixed it.
Fast, honest, up front and reliable. He is now my go to electrician, I will not use anyone else.
Even though you hire an electrician to come into your home, not everyone knows how to treat and repair aluminum wiring. I believe every electrical repair needs 100% precision. The cost of an electrical fire is not worth the 30 seconds more getting the job done right.

Robert is fantastic and a pleasure to do business with. I would recommend his services in a heartbeat.
Although the initial phone quote grew slightly from your original plan, now with a few additional code required outlets in your kitchenette, you can cook easily without blowing breakers! Bare minimum is sometimes not the best solution.

Excellent work. Robert was efficient, cost-effective and professional. He explained the work to us, provided viable options and then got the job done. Would definitely use Robert again and highly recommend his services.
Upgrading your homes 2 old FPE (federal Pioneer Electrical) panels that are notorious for not tripping when overloads happen was a smart decision. Thankfully that exterior gfci was on a brick lamp post, not your home. Rarely do we see electrical fires from breakers not doing their job, but FPE panels are simply dangerous. Exchanging those fire hazards with new Eaton brand should easily see another 30 years without issue.

I called on Robert because we had a new fence installed which was beside our pool shed. Unfortunately during the fence teardown, we lost power to our pool pump. He showed up the day after we called - so I have to rave that his response time is amazing. During his thorough inspection inside and outside the house (even though the fence was removed, we couldn't find any severed wires) he went through the process with me and kept me informed of what he was finding.
The fix wasn't simple as he spent the entire day rerouting the wiring from an unused hot tub but he did a great job and used top quality material. He even went above and installed extra outlets that he didn't include in price of the original contract - he had an extra and thought it would be good to have in our pool shed just in case we needed it.
Also, after this job I had another problem (unrelated to the pool) a few days later and since he was in the area, he came by within the hour I called him. It was a simple fix and he didn't charge me for taking care of it (took him about 5 minutes to fix).
Robert is fantastic and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Tracing dead wires underground is never an easy task but with some great new electronic tools, it can give us some insight without x-ray vision where damage is done. Sadly the buried wire was broken but finding other options to get power back to your pool shed was priority, the ESA inspection went as planned and voila! better than before.

Robert and I have worked on many projects together over the years. His philosophy is the same as mine, if it is done right the first time you should never see us again about failures or shortcomings on that particular job. If your going to be a bear, it is best to be a grizzly bear. No half-assed, half-hearted attempts in any of Roberts jobs. Robert may not be the cheapest guy on the block, but then again you are not paying for the cheapest guy on the block. I truly believe that any project Robert takes on for his clients will be done not only to the best his ability, but will be done to ensure the safety of those he does work for. Roberts customers will not find him working on any project that he is not 100% sure of. The end result of using Robert at Electrilight Ltd. for all your wiring/cabling projects will always be at the very minimum up electrical code and above Canada's safety standards. No short-cuts, No cheap-outs on materials, No cutting corners to save himself a few dollars. Roberts first priority will always be to ensure that every electrical project he does is done correctly, because, there are few second chances once an electrical fire starts.
Outdoor hot tubs must have a LEC (licensed electrical contractor) install the wiring for these and we provide the ESA inspection as well, the only thing we don't do is supply the tub and dig trenches.
Electrical wiring for basement renovations must be completed only by a licensed electrical contractor. we walk through the entire process and address what you require plus add what must be there to meet code

Older electrical systems should be checked and repaired for peace of mind. If you have aluminum wiring it is definitely time to review all connections. If you see flickering lights or snapping switches or outlets, the danger could already be started.
Electrical full home inspection with or without ESA final inspection. 2-6 hour inspections will tell you what is good, what is bad, and what your home (selling or buying) is all about and what condition it is in.
We provide wiring for all home theatre, we don't provide the equipment (screens, TV, PVR, etc). we can, but recommend you see a local shop for those and best sale prices.
